Splinter favorite show?

I was watching my TMNT dvds and I was watching Darkness On The Edge of Town. Anyway When the power goes out the and the turltes decide to go check it out, Splinter tell them to hurry so he doesn't miss his favorite program. And I was just wondering what program might be his favorite. So does any one have any ideas on what they think his favorite TV show might be.

That Matt Guy 01-15-2004 10:09 AM

Re-runs of Rescue 911 w/ William Shatner.

Deathknight 01-15-2004 12:58 PM

This should be in New TMNT discussion. Anyway, it's probably Kung fu or another one of those ninja shows.

spikealike 01-15-2004 01:01 PM

I'd guess Murder, She Wrote.

TMNT571 01-15-2004 02:01 PM

Why should it be in new Its general just because the new cartoon gave me the idea.

Oprah.

J Legault 01-15-2004 04:01 PM

I'd say some Bruce Lee Movie or Shogun.

I can tell he might be a fan of some soap oprea.

maybe later on they might show him watching a TV program.

Animal Planet's special on Rats?

Eidiot88 01-15-2004 04:06 PM

"Rat King and friends"

Aztec General 01-15-2004 04:25 PM

Why everyone's favorit show: "Celebrities Uncensored". I can't get enough of Paris Hilton!!!

Relay 01-15-2004 06:01 PM

He's Japanese and a rodent, so I'm guessing Hamtaro.

Hamtaro!! LOL now that was a funny one. But I would have to say he was watching the TMNT.

Machias Banshee 01-15-2004 07:19 PM

Jerry Springer or Dr. Phil....

raphael90 01-15-2004 07:29 PM

Kung Fu has nothing to do with Ninjas.. Kung Fu is Chinese, Ninjitsu is Japanese. But anyways, I"d guess splinter dosn't watch TV, but rather reads alot of "Second hand" books. But on the rare ocasion he watches TV, I imagine it's the News

Buslady 01-15-2004 10:03 PM

Oprah.

Reruns of TJ Hooker.

Knight Rider?

Oh I know...

Pokemon.

just kidding

Jo Dawn 01-15-2004 10:04 PM

Y'know... on the new DVDs, it has Splinter's bio... and doesn't it say he likes to relax by watching talk shows and soaps sometimes? :) So... now I have to think of which of these Splinter would like to watch...

GK Punk 01-15-2004 10:11 PM

Wow, I'm dissapointed. I figured he'd have better taste

Yea, but that was a different version of Splinter, and he was just para-phrasing Michaelangelo's earlier impression of Elvis from the beginning of the movie.

Ninja Tiptup 01-15-2004 10:37 PM

Hamatro? LOL!

I'm gonna have to go with Dr. Fill as well. It was night right though... maybe he like Lenno or Conen.

GK Punk 01-15-2004 10:39 PM

Did someone say... FIL???

That Matt Guy 01-16-2004 03:14 AM

How do they even get TV in a sewer?

TMNT571 01-16-2004 07:59 AM

Its definately not a satilite. I figured spinter was a big talk show fan, Jerry, Oprah, Dr. Phil

Maybe he Likes Crossing Over

Digital Cable

That Matt Guy 01-16-2004 10:37 AM

Well that just brings up more questions, like where does the cable bill go? Who pays it? Is Splinter pirating cable?

TMNT571 01-16-2004 12:11 PM

Donny problem has illegal cable hooked up.

Maybe he was waiting to watch a movie on Pay Per View, or maybe the Cricket Championships.

I dunno about any one else but i got a thing on my cable where i can order cricket, but i dunno if i would pay $149 dollars.

It was just a joke about the Elvis thing, that always stuck with me. Yeah who knows what that Splinter wanted to watch. I'm pretty sure though Splinter does tell Mikey at the end of the third movie he saw the Elvis gag on the Blue Hawaii movie...I thought it funny Splinter would watch such a movie.

Did I get it mixed up?

I could picture Splinter being a closet soap opera fan. :P

Failing that and being seirous I could see him liking those lavish costume period dramas or documentary's.

I figure Splinter was watching Dr.Phil, so he could figure out how to deal with Teenagers.... or maybe Reruns of the A-Team..... I don't Know, in My mind Splinter is too mature for TV.

Machias Banshee 01-17-2004 05:47 PM

lol, he watches the Boston Pops on PBS... or Lawrence Welk!!!

ooh, maybe nature shows to learn to deal with the turtles? :P

Kali 01-21-2004 01:42 PM

I'm sure Splinter watches documentaries and such, but he has shown, in many universes, that he has a weakness for "bad TV", like talk shows and soaps. (Not dissing these shows, I'm using the quotes semi-sarcastically.)
