either the website is down, or there is a traffic jam. This sucks! I want to see some Turtle's crap! NOW! Why did they have useless Metzco stuff first? Now I'll never be able to see what's going on. Why is there no other website!? Figures.com blows.

lmao thats wierd as hell..I wonder if my post made people go on some mad rush to www.action-figure.com eh I dont think figures.com sucks to bad actully thats the first place to check because they will more then likely be the first to post TMNT pictures.

Splinter 02-13-2004 12:53 PM

Figures.com does not blow. They're the only one that covered all the TMNT stuff at the Expo recently. Note that the first day of toy fair, usually does not allow press in unless they have invitations from specific companies to be there. Have patience, we'll be seeing some good stuff soon.

Nope, I fear I have no powers outside the News Section. That's where I was going to put more or less some sort of official Toy Fair thread. As soon as something actually turns up. And yep, I used to be Vintage Splinter. I snagged the Staff reserved 'Splinter' when they made me staff. :)

Triceraton 02-13-2004 04:51 PM

www.figures.com definitely isn't bad. They usually have the best coverage of these events(though the news there is quite lacking at other times of the year). Oh, and the Mezco stuff isn't useless, I know quite a lot of people are very happy about the announcement of Family Guy figures, even though I'm not interested in them.

Just a warning now though, there probably won't be that much new from TMNT. Especially since Playmates has supposedly cut back on what they're showing, so they won't have as much set up as they did last year. I hope they'll show something new, but it's not definite.

Kali 02-13-2004 09:53 PM

I'll sticky this, and I'm going to unsticky the "Figures.Com - Tons of New Figures Revealed!!" thread, since this one kinda replaces it.

PanMan 02-14-2004 08:32 PM

so when should we expect news? i believe Toy Fare started a few days ago.

Triceraton 02-14-2004 09:39 PM

I'm not even sure if Playmates section of Toy Fair is open yet... some of it started Thursday, but the full Toy Fair doesn't officially open until tomorrow. And I know Playmates booth will be open tomorrow. So I expect pictures then, though I doubt there'll be anything we haven't seen.

TMNT is cooler than MOTU 02-15-2004 03:51 PM

So far, no sites have pics from Playmates. :(

Triceraton 02-15-2004 04:07 PM

Nope, nothing yet. www.simpsonscollectors.com are going to put up coverage of Playmates at Toy Fair tonight, but I think they're only covering the Simpsons line, not Playmates other stuff. :|

LAXtitan99 02-16-2004 08:58 AM

That simpson's site has put up pics of the simpsons from playmates so the booth must be open.

SO WHERE ARE ALL THE FRICKIN' TURTLES!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhh...the anticipation is killing me...

perhaps a bout in Statics class will calm me down and pass the time...oh woh is me...

Splinter 02-16-2004 09:57 AM

I've checked with my contacts. Playmates coverage will be going up at the sites this afternoon. Lotsa turtle goodness. Unfortunatly, I'm hearing that most of it is stuff we've already seen. And that Usagi Yojimbo is not on display. :(

LAXtitan99 02-16-2004 11:02 AM

We are getting closer...

Figures.com has added playmates with subcatagory TMNT to the site under toy fair just no pictures yet. Hopefully in a few hours we will see some new TMNT goodness. LOOK!

The TMNT subcats are 5" figures, 12" figures and ULTIMATE Figures.

:D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
12:59pm EST
50 pictures posted...notta one we havent seen yet...booooooo
I really need a life if all I have to do is click refresh every 30 seconds to see the new TMNT figures...damn 80s nostalsia...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Changes since old pictures of same toys...

-Turtle Titan now has a grapling hook
-giant mouser now has rocket launching things on shoulders -space hoppin turtles are the ones from the official site not the ones shown at 2003 toy expo
-leatherhead now has a mase as a weapon/accessory
-turtle toddlers have new more kiddie weapons

1:09pm EST - 101 pics posted

appears that there will be some time till more are posted at least in the 5" catagory as the 101 were posted ridiculously fast and now there is a delay...

Kid Icarus 02-16-2004 11:18 AM

Those Ultimate figures are pretty nice... Any word on their price yet?

Triceraton 02-16-2004 01:35 PM

I don't know, but that's HUGE. Check out that regular Michelangelo down there by it's foot.

Kali 02-16-2004 02:06 PM

Heh, I liked that we finally got the see what weapons will be coming with the Toddler Turtles. Very cute. :D

Jo Dawn 02-16-2004 02:36 PM

Whoa. :o Those Ultimate figures... awesome!

And I so cannot wait for those Toddler Turtles. :)

Demonfox38 02-16-2004 04:13 PM

God, those Mystic Ninja are still friggen' awesome! I love the semi-transparant detailing on the Fire one.

what are these. they are in the role playing section.

milweskee 02-16-2004 04:40 PM

Wow, I can't believe there was nothing new. There were a few updates but nothing spectacular. I'm deeply saddened. But I had my hopes in the clouds.

I think those are the ultimate turtles

Taloniss 02-16-2004 05:43 PM

Ultimates are gonna be cool! They're like...3 feet. Man, I need more money to afford all the new cool toys :(

Y2Bogus 02-16-2004 06:07 PM

Ah, crap. The Space Hoppin' Turtles all have those god awful hinged hands.

Triceraton 02-16-2004 07:03 PM

More importantly, the Space Hoppin Turtles are the inaccurate, awful looking ones instead of the good show accurate ones we've all seen.

And it seems weird they'd announce Scuba Turtles and an exclusive figure with the Turtle Lair right before Toy Fair, and then not show them. :-?

Walkie Talkies. I fyou look on their chests, you can see the little speaker holes.

Splinter 02-17-2004 12:00 AM

More coverage up at ADC. Some changes were made to the Turtle's with bikes also. They look much better then the ones at the Toy Expo. :)

Antrax 02-17-2004 12:37 AM

Under Mutatin' Shredder, is that the unmutated turtle shown(but not released) at the last expo? Is there any indication these will be released with the new wave of mutatin' figures?

Hehe, my girlfriend was tripping too when I showed it a little too enthousiastic....but there's no way she's gonna stop me :D

Buslady 02-18-2004 08:23 AM

my husband's weird, he thinks all of my collection is a big fat waste, we collects train slide photos so to me that's a big fat waste, we're even. I like trains and taking pics of them but not collecting someone else's pics. ugh...

So here I am, waiting anxiously for them to release the Ultimates.....

I just want Raphie...

Wonder how much they'll be, I'd say $40-$50 easy.

LAXtitan99 02-18-2004 08:27 AM

I think they will range in the $75 - $100 range. They are sorta like a boys version of the my-size barbies that went for well over $100.

I hope they arent that much (poor college student with a OCD complex for Ninja Turtles = way too much debt :( )

Anywhos...so cant wait for there release.

And speaking of release...it'd be nice if playmates put some sort of dates to all this stuff.

damn if they do range that high I'll have to wait til they're drop or clearance, that's expensive!
