Splinter's Real Name
 

I know how stupid I am for not knowing this but what is Splinter's real name?

Uh in the original Mirage comics I think he was named Splinter by Hamato Yoshi

In the old toon he actually is Hamato Yoshi, but 'we named him Splinter for obvious reasons' (so the narration says I think)

Yeah that's right, the turtles nicknamed Yoshi 'Splinter' cause he chomped wood to splinters.

Actually Yoshi named him Mr. Jiggles. The TMNT named him Splinter. Splinter preffered that name.

Mr. Jiggles? heh heh

His belly would jiggle whenever Yoshi and Teng Shen would tickle him. Ah, that loveable Mr. Jiggles. :)

It is a cute idea. But do men really give animals such cutesy names? I know women do, but men?

(My rats were: Mrs. Robinson, Minerva, Bubl, Squeek, Electra, Ziggy, Amidala, Artemis, Jay, Silent Bob, Orpheus, Dante...and er...I can't remember the rest. I had too many. :P )

Based on my own ideas, and an RP im involved with with a buddy of mine.. *waves to Terran* we've kidna got an idea that Kakera (Splinter in japanese) was the normal name, and a pet name for him was "mouko"

Points and mangoes for the one who can get the translation! but yeah, we figured that Shen liked to used a cute silly name when she cuddled Splinter... :D

Lucky you. Here is Sydney it's illegal to sell reptiles at pet stores. You must get them from a reptile park. :(

Here you can go to PetCo,PetSmart or where ever and get all kinds of critters. Depending on the state, some pets are illegal. You can't get ferrets in California but who's gonna stop you from bringing one over from Arizona?

Even thought it's tempting to buy from stores, I'm going to try not to.
I'm planning on building an outside pen for my painted wood turtle and a pond for my son's turtle and take in rescues. Plus I want to try and make more Rhinoclemmys. Well, maybe I dunno. I'd be keeping any babies if anything happened.
