April's secret origin
 

I don't know if this topic has been discussed but is anyone else dying to know about April true origin? From Renet's comment about how she will not be seeing things through her "human eyes"! What does that mean? Is April an alien and a mutant? If she is that would explain why she and Casey can't have kids. Anybody else want to give their opinion. :tconfuse:

Wow. I'm as freaked out as you are. Hopefully we'll see what April saw soon in upcoming issues.

I've been waiting to find out what happened to April, but it hasn't been covered in the last few issues. I hope we get back to her storyline soon.

April is revealed to have been born as Josh O'Neil, later having an operation because he couldn't hide the female that was always inside him.

read the letters column in either volume 4 issue 15 or 16.. youll get your anwser.

Read the issue from volume one, it doesn't show that she is a fish person, but she does share a temprorary mental bond with the last fishwomen.

That doesn't look anything like April....COnsidering in Mirage April is African American.

Uh, since when? She is on the covers and in some color issues that I have.

Huh? I have all issues of Vol.2 and all colour reprints of Vol.1 and I'm sure she's always white in those. Maybe she looks a little Latina-like but not black.

I believe April has an Irish background. She has red-hair and her last name is O' Neil.

In the Mirage comics, April's hair is all frizzy and tight curls, but that was a perm she got in TMNT # 2. Her hair is naturaly red/chestnut brown and straight.

I have the 3rd printing of Volume 1, Issue 2. April isn't African American on that, sure you aren't thinking of Baxter?

And yes that Sons of the Silent Age issue's cover is of April's face merged with the fish people's

Well, in my color issue of vol.1 #32, she's African AMerican. *shrug*

Maybe that's the Egyptian suntan...I don't know :P
Everywhere I see her in colour comics she's white, not that it's a big thing anyway :goofygri:

although admittedly, on some covers the poofy curly hair and tan skin may give the impression - but pick up any vol 2 ish (or the color graphic novels for that matter) to see what she looks like in color

I'll say it again, I do have a color issue and in it she's african american.

Eastman and Laird have previously explained that that was an inking mistake --- not that it's a bad thing, or anything. It was simply a mistake.

...or she's a clone...or a mutant I don't know but I'll tell ya one thing I'm betting on is that when she goes to tell casey or whoever what she found out....laird will use it as a cliff hanger lol I can so just see that happening he loves to keep us on the edge of our chairs.

heck, you'd think that with all those utroms testing her they'd be able to give more detail...those crazy writer :roll:
