To Support or Not Support FF
I emailed Dan because I'm rather torn about watching FF to support TMNT, or not watching it to boycott the crap that's taken over what was a fantastic show. FF could be worse so I almost want to keep watching, but not if it keeps getting worse.
> If we don't support FF, do we risk loosing a 6th season? If ratings and merchandise sales for FF are below expectations, season six is very unlikely. > If we do support FF, do we support a 6th season that continues in > the vein of FF instead of returning 'home'? No decision has been made in that regard, although more than likely, FF would continue. > What's the best way to get our opinions heard here? Do we just > have to pray to the gods of ratings? Ratings and merchandise sales will determine the series' future. My decision... not watching it. I'll buy the Lost Season DVDs and hope that the contrast between those sales and the FF sales might give someone a hint that they had a good thing going. |
It really doesn't matter for us, Dan is talking about the kids.
I'm buying the FF toys and the DVDs (when they come out) because I'm enjoying the show. However, if you're not, why would you waste your money buying stuff just to keep the show afloat? If FF is a success then Season 7 will be another 26 episode in the future. The basic rule of business is if you revamp something and it's a success, (which depends on if ratings/toy sales improve) then you keep doing what you're doing. If FF bombs, then everything ends here. There is no middle ground. We're not going to get the TMNT back in the present again. |
Was there ever official word on whether or not a Lost Season DVD would be released?

We'll still get it on DVD most likely. |
The Ninja Tribunal arc is the last measure of 2k3 Turtles we are getting. It's Fast Forward from here on out. Sad that this era had to come to an end. :(
|
I love TMNT but I won't even buy FF on DVD...wow I really wish TMNT could go on I really do. I know alota people like FF but to hear that even if FF does well we won't get our TMNT back...well I'm at a loss for words.

A five season run, no matter how much Cubed will argue it, is'nt a failiure in any way shape or form, I'm fine with it ending on that number, counting the lost season as the fifth of course.

i thought it was already decided long ago that fast forward would only last one season. wasn't that in the original announcement?

The only thing that irks me is no conclusion (thus far) to the Karai storyline, and Bishop and Stockman storyline, and what happened to Chaplin.
If those three could get tied up I'd be satisfied with an end to the TMNT. If FF answers those questions even that is fine and I will continue to watch it. -X- |
what sucks about FF to me is the characters, where is the mirage badguys???????

Bishop's in the credits, or the man who suplies his voice is in the credits? Because voice over actors can be more than one character.
|
Bishop's name is listed in the credits with his voice actor because he is in the show. The actor just happens to also do Darius Dunn's voice as well.

I'm still hoping on the possibility that we may get back to the 03 roots. Dan has been wrong before (it's rare, but it happens). These are supposed to be 26 stand-alone episodes in that they're the only ones that are supposed to take place in the future. If the format sticks (more funny and not as dark) then let them continue to the present and keep a slightly funnier version.
Everyone's freakin out about nothing. We're 3 eps into the season and we don't know the outcome yet. I would say hold your breath and wait to see what the turnout is. |

I just have one question, and shoot me if you want, but does actually kinda liking Fast Forward(I'll admit it's not 2k3 TMNT, but it's still TMNT, and probably one of the best cartoons out there today) make me any less of a fan?
Just mull it over. |
