No 2013 Dromies?
 

Hey everyone,

I was searching through the forums and noticed that last year, the 2012 Technodrome Award Nominations and awards were given out during the summertime.

...So I'm assuming that nothing is happening this year (since its already late September)? I'm sure the process is very tedious, but I was just curious if anybody discussed about it happening and decided not to do it, or if people just forgot about it.

The whole process last year was ridiculous and barely worked out.

Between retarded bickering and people dropping out of helping set it up because it made them ineligible for a fake message board award. It's just not worth the trouble in the end.

We don't have the right board culture to do a forum award anymore.

"Board Culture"?

Not sure I've ever heard the word "Culture" used in conjunction with the Internetz before....

I'm referring to a "no fun allowed" culture that has grown over the years. Comes with the evolution of the internet and the behavior of its users, I guess.

It only takes a few to ruin it

I don't think the forum is as close-knit as it used to be, so it's basically pointless. Hard to believe that once upon a time I actually won the member you'd most like to meet award.

It's always a disaster. I tried to do it last year and had some awful sh*t happened to me. When I left nobody who volunteered wanted to help, so people who weren't even "officially" involved had to do it.

Also, the forum doesn't have as many stand out members in the GD to make it worthwhile. The people who only frequent the TMNT sections rarely get involved.
