I've read her micro, so I'm aware of all of that. I'm referring to her phrasing when she attacks The Shredder. To be fair, the turtles were "normal" before as well. They just happened to be reincarnated. My question is if anyone else thinks maybe Alopex is too.

I lean strongly towards #1. While I was a little annoyed at the whole brainwashing plot device, I got over it, but seeing him do something irredeemable would have made it all so much easier to stomach. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the whole story arc, but this would have been nice.

I thought he would have his old memories back, after he kills one of his enemies in a battle, so then he starts remember to almost killing Slash, his brothers, Splinter, etc...
Well it was pretty similar actually, it's just not Leo, but Shredder killing Victor. Still it would have worked better if it was Leo.

loved the conclusion! I did have some critiques, but overall this was one of my favorite story arcs.

The ending was ok, it is actually my least favorite, bc it made dark Leo so weak.

Loved slash though. its interesting that Slash is actually a good guy now though.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is the first incarnation were Slash is actually on the turtles side.

In Archie he starts off as a criminal banished to a prision planet for his crimes and his people and planet gone. Krang a fellow crminal convinces him that there is more out there for him and eventually after a draw with the TMNT the alien turtle is redeemed by the Mutanimals and aides the turtles sacrificng himself.

In the '87 cartoon he is a bad guy throughout all three of his appearances and in Nick is still ongoing and may just be tainted by the mutagen. At this point in the comics he seems to be a reformed villain/anti-hero while he is a villain in the cartoons though its early in the game in the Nick cartoon so it may change as it does seem to be the mutagen tainting his mind.

Hmmm... interesting some of my favorite characters in the comic universe are anti-heroes.
I am curious if Slash will become smarter with time like in the OT, bc quite frankly I hate Re-tard slash. I dont mind a more animal like slash like he is in IDW, but in his first appearance of the OT he was stupid.

I'm hoping Old Hob will hook him up with the psychotropic serum and up his IQ. Of course Stockgen is all exploded, but I remember Hob having a vile of Splinter's blood way back in the epilogue of Blood Brothers.

I really have enjoyed how city fall helped develop hob into one of the most intriguing characters in the series. It is pretty much impossible for me to not like the hob and slash duo. Also i am going to miss the turtles church lair as it was such a fresh take on the typical sewers surroundings.

I just reread the Blood Brothers issues myself. It was quite surprising, the change in Hob's voice. He was very angry and psychotic sounding in those issues--now he is pretty laid back.

The ark was good. To the creators I'd like to point out two subplots, that were not optimal from my point of view.

1. It was very surprising for me to see Alopex jump into the fight between Shredder and Splinter. Why did she save him? I've read all the previous issues and micros but still feel that this sudden reaction isn't organically coming out of the character's story.

2. I'd wish Casey had told his father that Shredder has stabbed him. This would be appropriate to slow Hun down for the tmnt to flee and let him ponder about the backstabbing boss he has. (But I suppose it will be revealed to him in a later story)

Otherwise I see Alopex entering Hob's Mutanimals very organically. They all have mutated from pure animals. And Alopex as this series' Ninjara will soon be Raphael's lover, I suppose.

Bebop & Rocksteady were the best in their own mini. Santoluco's design of them was way worse. They were much better in Shredder's mini as well. IDW should take care, that certain elements like R's feet or B' jacket stay the same under each artists feather.

So far Hob & Slash and Bebop & Rocksteady are my favourite characters. Please keep up the good work - you have the best turtle series EVER!!!

Alopex wasn't saving Splinter. Shredder struck a nerve with her when he spoke of family, after just slaughtering her family in the Alopex issue.

Hi, martinitolove!

Working on issue #32 as you read this, so gotta be quick:

1. Alopex is following through on her vow for revenge (for her family) at the end of her micro-series issue.

2. We haven't forgotten that Shredder stabbed Casey... and that info can be held away from Hun for only so long... tease, tease.

Thanks for reading! Back to Northampton for me...

Talk soon...

Ew, I hope not. I don't really like one Turtle dating and the others being single... also dating a different species... also I like them being kind of angsty and alone, especially Raph. That's kind of his thing.

I like how Karai referred to Bebop and Rocksteady as mutant "hybrids". I guess in this universe, that's what you'd call mutants that were originally humans prior to being mutated. To be honest, I'm hoping that Bebop and Rocksteady are the only "hybrids", though, to keep them unique. That and I prefer mutants that started off as animals, but Bebop and Rocksteady would be the only characters where I'd make an exception for that (and I think it works best for them, anyway).

That being said... I wouldn't mind seeing some more mutants (of the "started off as animals" variety) come into the picture, in the future. We still need to see Leatherhead come in, at some point.
