The Krang we saw in yesterday's episode was just an Utrom called Krang

but not the same Krang as in the old show

another thing. Krang was sometimes able to move by himself ("Turtles on trial" and "krangazoids") sometimes he wasn't ("Get Shredder" and "beware of the lotus")... that's a fact.

BUT:

Are the Utroms able to move by themselves (like no android exosuits)?

Yes... they can jump at things, like when the Shredder Utrom jumped on Mike's (?) face. Also weren't they crawling around on the ground by themselves? I was 3/4 asleep while watching the latest episode, so I can't remember alot, other than a turtle had the Shredder Utrom on his face

The Utrom named Krang was obviously a homage (as was April disquising as a reporter) to the old series. in fact, the voice actor even does a near dead on "Krang" impersonation...

it may not be "Classic series" Krang, but it was a hillarious nod to the original series.
