Every mango I've eatten has had a distinct pine flavor to it. I don't always notice it at first, but once I do, they lose their appeal. I'd rather have a good apple, golden kiwi, honey tangerine, papaya, forbidden fruit, or pear any day!

hmmmm.....I kinda have to make mango my favorite fruit.....Kiwi and pinapple which are mt two favorites I am allergic to

Mangos my third favorite.....but since I can't eat thoes it's mango!

*lol* Yeah.. the three mangoes I've eaten had a pine aroma about them too. But then they tasted kinda like a peach crossed with a persimmon and a pineapple. I decisded it was the skin on it that made it smell like pine needles.

I usually dont eat the skin....I get them cut with juice in glass jars...making the lassies with vanilla yogurt helps give it a more pleasant taste....
