I'd love for cloning to be used as far as medical purposes because it would benefit everybody. I don't have a problem with cloning humans, but I fail to see what purpose it would serve in the end.

I just think it'd be too wierd to have a clone of myself. But why the hell would scientists really want to clone a human? Stem cells are a completely different story and they can help people walk again or help heal super damaged organs. MOST if not all scientist do not want to clone humans, but I'm sure at some point in the future it will happen.
From what I'm hearing here cloning would just lead to a misuse of power ie cloning for war, cloning for sex, cloning for playing videogames. Hell if I had a clone I'd use him for sparring practice. If perhaps a species is endangered then yes, by all means clone an endagered Brown Pelican, but there are way too many humans as it is.

Well, just for the record, 'cloning' isn't exactly 'pressing a button on the copying machine and receiving 3-5 new fully developed identical adults', you still need wombs to bear them and decades to let them all grow.

So no, cloning doesn't really work like a good source for soldiers, lovers or VG buddies.

I never said it was pressing a button and insta clone! To be fair I was just responding to what others had posted here. Plus this is all hypothetical right? As for the whole soldier thing they could raise them in the army for the sole purpose of being soldiers, ready to deploy after 18 years of training or so. But as I said before why would scientists want to clone people?

Hey, if they can cook up a few thousand Kate Beckinsales and Michelle phifers, then let's do it! I guarantee you that celebrity grave robbing for DNA samples would become the ultimate black market. The holy grail is to master human cloning, then master the brain transplant. When your body gets old and wears out, just have yourself dropped into a new one of your choosing and go. Awesome.

As far as I am I dont want full human or animal cloning ecspecially if it is inhuman as it sounds.

Our live can regrow already so I thinking cloning organs would definitly be great!

Cloning could be beneficial for medical reasons. It would be nice for people who have to wait for months and months to get kidneys and such to have one at the time they actually need it before a lot of damage is done.


but on the flipside if cloning were an everyday process there'd be thousands of 12-15 year old girls would dating a justin beiber clones :p

I think cloning is dangerous. You can't fool around with Mother Nature. You can't copy anything 100%, because something, which is most important, will be left out. By messing around with Mother Nature, cloning will create a society of genetic freaks. The kind of cloning you see in Ninja Turtles is nothing compared to real cloning. Although in the episode "Donatello's Duplicate" there is a moral to cloning: "it's not nice to fool with Mother Nature."
