I got thinking again about adding the Rocksteady and Bebop figures to my new TMNT display, and then it dawned on me that a few years ago Antarctic Press made a more comic accurate Usagi Yojimbo figure. I figure it oughta fit in pretty well with the new toys so I bought one on eBay. Playmates probably won't make an Usagi figure so it'll be a decent substitute.

Hey yeah, thats right! I remember seeing the figure in ToyFare & wondering why he didn't look like the original figure (before knowing he wasn't made by the TMNT guys). Depending on how tall the figure is, & how tall the character is sapposed to be, it should fit in with the new figures. Lemme know when you get it in the mail & everything.

Well I got Usagi today, and he fits in pretty well with the new TMNT. He's got 9 points of articulation (neck, shoulders, wrists, pelvis and knees) his ears might be articulated, or they could just be a separate piece, glued on but I'm not about to force them. He comes with 3 painted weapons, and an articulated lizard. Unless you count his ears he's a bit smaller than the turtles, but if I recall he's supposed to be smaller anyway. I'm glad I got him, he looks good on display with the other figures.

I got mine off eBay, but I'd check any comic or specialty shops in your area first. The figure came out in 1998 so he's probably gonna be hard to find without resorting to eBay, but you never know. The regular figure pops up on there every so often, but there's also a platinum variant, and a black shirt variant which are rarer but seems to show up more frequently.

There's a black shirt one on there right now, here's a pic:
