tape that doesnt damage MOC figures

I wasnt sure which section this should go in, so if this is the wrong place, i apologize...

I am wondering if any of you can tell me a name brand/technical name for the tape that comic shops use to price MOC/Boxed items that doesnt damage the cardboard. I always see it but never think to ask when I am at the store. It looks like regular scotch tape, but it definitely isnt... any help would be appreciated as I have a comic convention to sell at this weekend and need the best way to make my deals known. :
