bending the bandanas

Has anyone ever tried to bend down the wavable part of the bandanas on the heads of the turtles? i want to do it to so they don't look like they have wind blowing in their faces anymore.

i was going to put the part of the bandana in boiling water for a few seconds then bend it to a desirable position then put them in the freezer for two minutes.

anyone ever tried this?
