Original Series In-Store Displays

I just won an auction for this Wacky Action display sign from the Original Series. Think I got a purdy good deal too

. It got me to thinking that I don't remember anything about the store displays back then, probably since my parents did most of the actual buying. Is anybody else holding onto items like this, I'd love to know more.
