Unique Packaging and Misprints
I am not a box collector. I take almost all of my Turtles out to display and play with them. The only ones that stay in their packaging are figures in which I consider the packaging part of what makes the item special. People were asking me in another thread as to which types of items fall into that category, so I'm making this thread to discuss it without hijacking the other thread. Without Further Ado:
MISPRINTS AND ERRORS Misprints and Errors are any item which the packaging differs from the intended factory appearance. ![]() Donatello Pez Dispenser with Star Wars Card. ![]() April with Casey Insert. ![]() Mozar with Fugitoid Insert ![]() Original Mikey Mounted Upsidedown. BOOTLEGS! A bootleg toy is any toy made without the consent of the owners of the Intellectual Property. Often times the packaging is a bad copy of the original packaging, or contains MAJOR copyright violations. ![]() ![]() ![]() (The Power-5 Robot I would probably have kept in the box anyway because its VERY cheaply made, and I've only ever seen this one for sale. More pictures of the Power-5 Robot can be found here http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...wer-5%20Robot/) Non-United States Versions Version of Figures made for territories outside the United States. Nromally the figures are exactly the same as their US counterparts, so the packaging is the ONLY difference. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you enjoyed the post! Feel free to qask any questions you might have. |
