Sometimes saying that someone has "a thing" for another person means that they have a crush on him. Saying that someone has a thing with someone else means that they are dating or fooling around or whatever. I was confused too; I kept waiting for you to give evidence of sexual tension between the two. Doesn't mean that anyone's obsessed with sex or that Spitty is a "chick killer" or whatever (although seriously, dude -- her roommate, too? Ouch. )
Now Syd, what I think you were seeing in that episode was evidence that Raph was trying to lead his brothers while Leo was gone, which is why he was so protective of Don and Mike (not that they usually can't look after themselves ). Probably for no real reason, Leo was distracted by his fighting with the mutants and he got separated from his brothers. Maybe there was a little distance between Leo and the other three when Leo got back, but it quickly dissipated.
I agree with LeonardoMystic's and Sage Ninja's interpretation of Don's and Leo's relationship. I don't think Don would ever want to lead; he is the perfect Number Two and would not be able to deal with Raph's and Mike's disobedience. I think he also tries to help Leo maintain his confidence as leader; when he sees flaws in Leo's strategies, I suspect that he pulls Leo aside to tell him, so that Raph and Mike don't hear.
Because Don is nice, and he knows Leo is a bit insecure about his ability to lead, Don probably keeps quiet when he thinks Leo has made a strategic error, and then Don tries to correct it subtly, so no one notices. This isn't a rivalry, it is Don's attempt to keep Leo feeling secure, even though Don might disagree with Leo more often than he expresses. (That's my theory, anyway.)
I wish they did show Leo's and Don's relationship more in 2k3, because I really like it.

now this is more like a debate!i like the way y talk Rooish,u not only point out where my mistake is but also present the whole details of it,why it is not correct, its origin, etc.and u put things into peace and clear unlike someone just buzz in yelling"ur writing is incomperhensible!"then buzz out or just crazily claim its lock on account that it was I who OT in the first place.
i like u Rooish,u brought the light.and although our diverge is there,i just like u.especially ur ava.

now i appology for my ignorance of the meaning of that focus sentence in the very beginning of my theory.but it wasn't put down throughout my essay, and at the end of it there was my point too,was that not enough to assist the understanding of that vague line?nothing bad,i just think that at the lest of the lest one shoulda go through the beginning and the end of other's thread before he brings his opinion forward.he who never takes what u say seriously does not show u respect at all.like someone just"oh lock this thread lock this thread pleaze!it's never on topic!"meanwhile all he could add in his reply to this thread was "where are u from?"this type of person really kills me.

I do some writing myself, including manuscripts for puppet animations. I understand it the way that the line "(--) Raph took out (--)" was written in the story just to tell the audience where Don had gotten that ooze he was investigating. If I remember right, they actually didn't show us Don collecting any samples. So it seems to me a mere way not to confuse the observant viewers.
And I'm the kind of scriptwriter who just loves to write a bunch of little meaningless things in my movies...it's so Hollywood to me that every little thing is so significant to the major plot or something...like when someone drops a pen it's just that s/he could notice a bomb hidden under a table and stuff like that.

yes,u r right at some point, that line does play a role of clarifing the facts to viewers,in general speaking,or seperate view.that's why i brought up the previous events and lines all together before exposing this part and coming to an conclusion.
and i agree with u that some apparently looking meaningless things sometimes trun out to be astouishingly significant to the major idea of the visonaries of plot.

Second of all, this has gone way off topic, if there even was a clear cut topic in the first place.

keep blowing something about incest,gay...u really think that makes u sexual?

And I think most have of us are of agreement that there isn't one because Don is to nice and also confident enough in his own sphere of influence (science/engineering) to tread on Leo's territory, and vise verca.
this portion I think syd brings up valid question. Is the mild mannered science guy the only side of to his personality? I think as fans have a tendacy to over simplify and stero-type our turtles by their most promominent defining characterists. I've noticed that Don is easily the nicest and most approuchable turtle in the bunch that lets every one be, but there has been, on occassion, where Don has used his intelliengce and obvious smarts in a mildly condensending sort of way toward the other turtles. In fact there are times where he can be pretty snarky. So he isn't just the nice guy that never sublely puts other down. However, it is rare and it's ushally only subtley done.

u r right,i meant that donnie had animosity against leo.and u got a objective view.and hey,that's my theory,happy to take challenges.
