To be fair. I always get alittle depressed whenever I see that Cybercubed still exists.

Was a fun episode, a wee bit overboard with the anime expressions

I am certain he wasn't being serious. Nobody who professionally works in the entertainment business is going to be upset about people comparing the Nick show to the previous cartoon. Writers are not thin-skinned and know good and well new iterations will always be compared to previous versions.

As of now I do feel like 4kids Baxter had better characterization in his debut ep, with his financial backer being Shredder and the promise of looking at alien artifacts.

This Baxter pretty much got angry because he broke a coffee machine at his job, I am hoping for a little more development than this.

Seems more like Baxter being fired was the straw that broke the camel's back, then just being angry over one instance.

I dunno, that one worker seemed pretty happy to see him.

If that was the TCRI building it seems humans work there and not just the Kraang.

Ah, see there's the rub. It all goes back to the "Can Baxter work as a solo villain or does have have to be the main villain's lacky?" I have little problem with this Baxter. Maybe it's because I was once a put-upon working stiff that I can relate to a guy who feels that he can't get ahead and wants his come-upins. Besides, Baxter's 4Kids debut was in 2 episodes, this Baxter has had half the time to get any development. Give the man some time.

I kinda hope he gets driven insane by his humiliation. Either way I think it's obvious he comes up with the Mousers from the tech in this armor. Everyone noticed the Mouser head that latched into Leo.

I think this is the first Baxter other than the OT that isn't the owner of his own company in Stocktronics.

There is no reason why we shouldn't be able to complain, I mean this stockman had a very childish and weak motivation, now he may be redeemed later on but so far he is the weakest stockman and that's saying a lot since OT stockman was there, his motivation seems out of an 80s or early 90s cartoon. Hard to take seriously. I also didn't like his afro or character design much but then again most humans in the show haven't been good either.

I think Stockman can easily be redeemed later on but there is no doubt his first appearance left a lot to be desired. The only main gripe and it's a big one that I have is that the episode also made him seem like a B-list supervillian only being a threat because of an accident and his actual genius only made this ridiculous suit that was not even a threat.

I'd love to see this Stockman eventually mutate to a fly though, maybe he can lose parts of his body and to recreate them he accidentally becomes a fly.

When my DVR decided not to record the ep Saturday morning, I should have taken that as a sign. Instead, I watched an encore presentation. I'll never get that half-hour of my life back. What a wimpy follow-up to last week's ep...

Does every character have to have some insanely deep and dark backstory? This Baxter is clearly meant to be goofy and bumbling so far. I'd rather have this over the cliched and boring 2k3 version.

But then again I like having fun when I watch cartoons made for children so maybe I'm missing the point. I don't really concern myself with questions like 'Is he threatening enough?' or 'What are the other characters doing? EXPLAIN TO MEEEE'

Well, he explained who Don's pet (Chong) was named after.

Pretty much all that was said was that Baxter's debut in the 4kids series was done better, at least IMO. An overreaction to something as simple as preference makes little sense.

I liked this episode, but I wasn't too keen on Baxter himself. Not sure why this prompted such a debate.

Ciro, people LOVE this show! I see mostly glee mixed with constructive criticism. But yes, fans are never fully happy, so I guess we can be depressing. We will keep watching the show and getting our fix though!

The humour and character interactions and script and animation and action in the show are great. I agree that sometimes the plots are a bit weak (and yes PL would have thought this Baxter was a wussy villain). April's character hasn't been handled well yet and we are just worried because she is a big part of TMNT. It is a kid's show so the plot doesn't need to be particularly tight--but we are mostly older, so that sort of thing frustrates us. Doesn't mean the show isn't 100% enjoyable.

Splinter's a bit, uh, violent towards his kids though!

On an unrelated note, I never much liked Fugitoid either, mostly because he was when the series got all sci-fi (I mean, besides the mutant turtles part).
