Great score. I consider that to be one of the most difficult figures to find.

This guy has Movie Star Raph and Don with their belts and signature weapons for MORE than fair prices:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TMNT-Movie-S...item2324104b35

Seriously, I've sold plenty movie star turtles BARE and gotten more than what his BIN price is. I can't believe they're still up there.

I don't. I spend the money that would be spent on grading, on more Ninja Turtles for my collection.

AMEN to that.
AFA is such a waste of money anyone, especially if you're looking to resell something. Sure I can see grading a scatch or some other super rare figures, but besides that, spend it on more TMNT.

Thats interesting you feel that way. I always thought graded items (whether it be coins, action figures, or autographs etc) sell for more, so grading would be especially good in a resell situation.

I use to grade tons of vintage moc gijoes, but once afa continued to raise its rates (about $50 for tier 3), it wasn't worth it anymore, unless you had super rare figures like snake eyes or cobra commander and knew they'd grade afa 85.
I especially feel this way about grading tmnt. By the time you pay 2nd market prices, plus afa costs, it's be hard to get your money back. I don't see many people paying $150 for any figure from 1988-1991 when they can buy a nice ungraded one for about $30.

I use too with the joes. I don't grade anything anymore. AFA's popularity just seems outdated to me now.

Thanks for the heads up. Snatched them up after having them in my watch list for a couple days since you first posted. Not too much of a stickler for the missing items as long as they have their primary weapons.

Just had to get them, but now I have to seek out Movie Star Leo and Movie Star Mike with at least their belts and primary weapons.

I had a Mike with belt recently but it sold to someone in CA for a very high price.

This guy is gonna pay $201, and his feedback is 91 so i imagine it is a legitimate bid. All i have to say is WOW! $200 for a run of the mill 88 figure is insane, even on my insanity scale.

Thats right, not even a soft head. And it actually went for $244.50, and another 88 plastic head figure sold for $192.50 to the same buyer. I figure $250 isn't a lot of money to the buyer but im wondering how high they were willing to go.

It is so insane to me cause the reality is, it is a $30 figure in a plastic case that also costs $30.

If I could sell my soft heads for that much each, I'd probably sell them right now. Damn. Maybe the key is..a starting price of one cent?

There goes $10 you'll never get back on this unpopular figure from a movie some of us don't even would like to think exists, plus it even includes Time Scepter and face mask:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Teenage-Muta...item27cc2b5560

I myself picked up for $11 18 cardbacks including all four Cyber Samurai Turtles, and these make great additions to my loose collections. It can be cool if you can get plastic and display your loose figures for a fraction of the MOC price.

If you're happy to have the item for the $$ you spent, you did fine.
