I loved the part with Don and Mikey sparring! Also did anyone else think for a second that the mutant monkey was April's dad? I know it's a little farfetched, but the way he was looking at her I had to ponder that idea.

That and at the very least, they showed concern and asked him if he was alright before proceeding to laugh at him.

Sorry everyone, my internet connection got fried at home during the whole hurricane mess, so I've been internet-less for most of the week. I've stickied this thread, and hopefully I won't have to leech off the local business wifi for too long...

Awesome Episode. Loved when Leo goes all out on the psychic guy with his Ninjaken swords. Some really badass fight scenes!

It never ceases to amaze me at how much character development Donnie has gotten.

Are you kidding that was the best scene in the entire episode for me. I was so nervous that they would immediately start poking fun at Donny. The fact that they showed concern and made sure he was alright before laughing at him was brilliant. It was very indicative of a real life situation. Had they just showed concern it would have been awful, because the best part of the Turtles is that they are able to laugh at all of the insanity that is thrust upon them, as soon as they know the threat is eliminated. Donny was fine and they could tell that so they joked about the situation in order to deal with it. We all cope with trauma in our own way and the Turtles have always relied heavily on humour to deal with their failures. Its that or all of them sit there and think damn that could have been me and lose their levity and strength. That and the beauty of "No more monkey puns"

The whole episode in general was just perfect. The pacing, the plot, the character development, it all just came together in the right way to make this the strongest episode since the first. The turtles continue to feel like teenagers who still have to learn to be the mean green fighting machines we know and love.

The scene where Mikey was able to defend against all Splinter's attacks because he goes with the flow was brilliant, it completely explains the whole wild card status he seems to have on the team. Whole thing was beautiful

Leonardo actually attacking a human with his swords, fantastic

Falco was also a great villain. I loved his whole demeanor throughout and the way he saw things once he had the psychic powers was awesome. It was like that Nicholas Cage movie Next accept not completely disappointing at the end.

Actually getting some time with April, and her being a dynamic character and not just a damsel in distress was such a breathe of fresh air. TMNT 2k12 April would never sit outside of the TCRI building crying about how she can't contribute, she would do whatever was possible for her to help her friends. I want to see more of her and I'm excited that the scene between her and Splinter happened, because it will probably mean more screen time for her.

Overall I can't wait to see how this episode ties in with the rest of the story. I want Falco to come back, and the fact that the Mutagen has been somewhat refined means we'll probably see less Spider-Bytes type mutants in the future.

I also can't wait till I can find a screen capture of Donatello's to ditch his brothers and solve the mystery alone. Those pictures were cute as hell...

Agreed, it was fantastic that April got some development! I can't believe I forgot that.

I do think the episode was really good, but do think it would just be a bit better if Don had managed to defeat bad guy dude with his brains, not by putting aside his greatest strength.

The teasing didn't bother me too much because they did indeed check if Don was injured first. I guess the times I really don't like the teasing are when it's Raph against Don, because Don seems genuinely nervous about fighting back. But that didn't happen in this epsiode. And sometimes Splinter's a tad mean, too. This only bothers me because I genuinely think kids emulate what they see. But oh well, boys will be boys right?

Leo: "or they might not be connected at all."
Me: "Yeah. Perfect lazy, defeatist attitude for a leader, jerk. "

"I'll bet that wasn't on his flow-chart" was a pretty good joke though. ^_^

Ahem.. first off... SQUEEE!!! JEFFREY COMBS IN A TMNT EPISODE!!

Oh what?? There was a plot? Sorry I was too busy listening to the awesomeness of Jeffrey Combs to care that he was a mad scientist.

But seriously. WOOT! Donnie had some awesome moves!! The flow chart was kinda cute.

As for April. Yep...one with the universe, female ninja... got it.. Now can we get back to Jeffrey Combs?

Oh and as for the T-phone having the original TMNT theme as the ring tone.. pfft..that's nothing. I've had that as my ring tone for over a year...

I actually agree with you this time, Negative Nellie.

"Spooky..."

Anyone else find it weird Splinter referred to Mikey as... Mikey?

For me it wasn't a horrible episode or anything but it was my least favorite so far. I liked when I believe it was April said that the monkey was on Bleeker street, cool nod to the 1990 movie.

Yeah it was fun for me to hear them mentions streets in my neighborhood. Bleeker is around the corner from Houston, and Delancey Street (although like a 10 - 15 minute walk) isn't too far from either of them.

What does confuse me about this new show is how there seems to be no one walking the streets of NYC. There's always someone walking around the Downtown area.

Nobody walking but there's apperantly enough people for the monkey to cause chaos and screeching cars...

Great episode! Got chills seeing Falco extracing brain juice from Rockwell with the needle.

Two funniest parts:

Mikey's ability to evade Splinter's attacks while listening to his tunes and Leo discovering Donnie's chart had EVERYTHING planned
