I loved those quotes. This was one of my favorites:

Now that you mention it, it was kinda like Bishop's fighting style.

....oh yeah, the cover of raphs comic showed the rat king in the last seconds of the episode.that was off the wall, too!!
did forget to mention that in I think 'metalhead'it was that raphael had another comic in the beginning when splinter is punnishing them, on the cover there appears to be the cowboys from moo mesa...thought you guys get a hang outta that...they seem to be favourites around here...(cant understand why though, where there ever comic of them perhaps, I only met them briefly in some tmnt tales issues..and i think that old mirage ot character bullhorn was based on their design maybe..?)

Yeah, I was thinking the same. That's because Bishop always fought on the defensive too. It was rare to see him initiate an attack, he'd mostly just block or counter whatever the turtles threw at him.

I always thought Bishop was a really cool villain. I'd like to see him return for sure.

Alright episode, I'd like to see both of them again if they were given more depth to their characters which I think it can be expanded on. If not then they're just average characters.

While the episodes are fun to watch I want to see if they'll be able to balance it off by having a darker episode, maybe the Enter:Shredder episode will be that one. For a show that seems very influenced by Teen Titans it's still lacking in the character interaction/charm/uniqueness from said show hopefully it is also influenced by having darker episodes. That balance made TT great.

That's just because they aren't going to the trouble of flaming in the comment section of every episode.

This was one of my favorite episodes thus far. I loved the graph part with Donnie and how much it reminded me of Sheldon Cooper and Leo's surprise at how it did in fact plan for any contingency. I actually really liked the plot with the scientist and being mutated into the monkey and the human element it added to the show.

I have seen people remarking how Falco reminded them of Bishop and that it so true. In a way this episode reminded me of "Dragon's Brew" from the 2003 show in terms of a man mutated someone that was suppose to be his friend and just how disgusting that makes the character appear. This had that same chilling quality to it because of that. Though I also wish they would have done more for the Rockwell mutate then just be like "he'll be fine"

Loved the lesson of the episode, the "learning to fight by instinct" is a training trope you see a lot in martial arts films and TV shows and I always like it. I also thought it was a good growth for Donnie and that if he just would have solved the issue by being brilliant it wouldn't have shown him developing. Crafting your body to the point where you can function in combat without thought is in incredible skill that takes years to learn for some people and I thought it was a credit to Don that he really tapped into something that was so unnatural for him to do.

I was actually really starting to like April in this episode her compassion for both Rockwell and Donnie was adorable and her power wasn't as cringe worthy as I had feared. At least until the final scene. When April was being a smart ass with Sensei it just really rubbed me the wrong way. Had she been that way with any of the guys would not have cared but it actually made me dislike her character even more now that she is coming across as one of the bitchy tweens that seem so popular in kids shows these days.

It was also true, yes the Kraang had provided Falco with mutagen, but it didn't lead to anything about April's dad. Leo needed to make sure that they weren't getting their hopes up too high in the event that they are dashed.

And I'm saying this as a fan of Raph.
Also this was also my thought I complete agree with this statement and I am saying this as a fan of Leonardo

The episode was OK, the humor was good as always and I actually like this Mikey but I am so over Donnie's crush on April, just be over with it already.
The music in this show is just awesome though.
The only thing I'm a bit worrid about is how they're gonna handle April and her powers, I don't want a Mary Sue that ends up saving the day but I have faith in the writers.

Actually April wasn't b*tchy to Splinter. She was trying to encourage him, and she wasn't paying attention to what he was saying like most teenagers do.

And, yes, I was reminded of Bishop when I saw Falco fight, though his method was different from Bishop's. Still, he definitely seems like an interesting villain.

Didn't get to watch the episode until late because I hurt my neck and had to go to the chiropractor.

It was pretty decent story wise no gripes there at all and Mikey stole the show as usual with Don in a close second.
I'm still not caring for this April and the I can talk to Animals thing honestly had me rolling my eyes.
Hey disliking one character out of everyone so far isn't too bad.

My gripe still really lays with the transition from how characters looks from the hand drawn concepts to the CGI counterparts.
Though mind you I do try to look past it, and notice improvements from episode to episode.
For instance in some scenes April isn't shiny and I noticed Splinter was looking less boxy.

I can't believe no one else was creeped out by the Monkey's eyes.

Actually, I did find it unsettling when they bulged out. I just try limiting my criticisms to the examples of 'common sense is overrated' though.

Oh, I thought the monkey's eyes were creepy when they bulged out like that.

And I agree that Rob is doing great as Donnie.

Did anyone else wander how a scientist could hit one of the turtles and make them fly backwards? He's just a normal guy with psychic powers, so shouldn't he be kinda weak? Anyway, I've only seen four episodes so far, and this was probably my third favorite out of the four; not that great but not bad either.

Just watched this, I enjoyed it a great deal - loved the relationship (or lack of) between Don & April, and Jeffrey Combs was just the icing on the cake (although I'll never be able to hear his voice without thinking of the Question).
