I'm curious also as to when Shredder will work with The Kraang. I'm thinking maybe the Kraang will give Xever aka Fishface his robotic legs. I don't think Shredder would have the patience to deal with the Kraang repeating a word in every sentence though lol.

While I loved Panic in the Sewers, I was wondering why Shredder wasn't curious as to know what was it that made Chris Bradford and Xever mutate. I actually thought this episode was going to have Shredder meet the Kraang (and maybe I'm the only one, but I actually thought "the meeting" was going to be with Shredder and the Kraang).

I love Clancy Brown. While I thought he did an amazing job voicing Chris Bradford, I loved his portrayal as Dogpound. Then again, Clancy Brown does an amazing job in anything he does.

Question though and maybe it has already been answered, Michelangelo said while they were fighting Dogpound that he keeps getting bigger, does that mean Dogpound as the ability to grow ? He's already huge.

I love April in this new incarnation. While Ciro foreshadowed that she will always be "the girl in the yellow jumpsuit", I can see her using her tactics trying to get a scoop/story if they go that route. If not I'm still satisfied with the way they are portraying her.

Another well done episode.

I'm fairly sure "he's getting bigger" was Mikey's way of saying Bradford was getting closer, hence looking bigger because of how perspective works.

Nothing's wrong with more mutants. The problem is that they're not being handled well enough.

Xever and Bradford work out fine, because we've met them before. But the fat guy in Turtle Temper? Why make him a mutant? He doesn't add to anything.

I agree in the case of Vic/SpiderBytez. In terms of his design, there was no reason he couldn't be an alien spider that the Kraang brought along. It would suit him better actually.

I will reserve judgment on Snakeweed, Rockwell and Pigeon Pete, dependent on what the writers do with them. But honestly, I could have done without either Rockwell or Pete.

Scary Splinter is scary (to the point Raph is intimidated by him). I think this is the first time this side of him showed up in an animated adaptation.

April gets to shine in this episode.

The Go Karts are awesome. Too bad it seems to be a one shot.

More ninja smoke bombs. :3

And yes, headcanon that Raph likes Space Heroes is realized. It's touching he uses this to help Leo.

I was just scratching my head as to how an overweight slob who mutated into an overweight spider, was able to do martial arts without any prior knowledge.

List of mutants so far

Snakeweed
Spider Bytez
Monkey Guy (forgot his name)
Pigeon Pete
Dogpound
Fishface

Coming Soon

Leatherhead

I don't think they're are THAT many mutants. The only ones I consider "unnecessary" are Spider Bytez (unless her returns) and the Monkey guy.

Don't worry, I'm still scratching my head after all these years how Ch'rell drinks tea in the first episode of 2K3.

The "mutant of the week" thing is a toy sell, I'm sure. They're loading us up on characters so they can sell as much as they can before Christmas. Honestly I'm surprised we got our first vehicle today. Pretty sure we'll see the Shellraiser in the next episode or two, it's already been on shelves for a while.

Cramming in all these new characters reeks of production involvement to me. A lot of times decisions like this come down from the suits at Nick or Viacom and the writers just have to work with it. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing (I actually like all of the mutants so far, myself) but it's an obvious marketing ploy to me. TMNT has always been about the toys.

But it's cool, it's one of the staples of this show. I think things will calm down after the holidays though, and we'll start to see some of these mutants return.

Oh yeah! Great episode though. Really like Dogpound's design, especially his size. The dream sequence at the beginning was rad. I can't wait to watch it again.

Well I say they'll slow down on the mutants soon enough... we have to build the verse so to speak... but yeah I say we'll see a lot more of the mutants as time goes on... the show has had pretty strong writing and Dogpound is pretty badass

I watched the ep with my girl today and the thing she noticed after it was done was.... 'Michealangelo is an idiot. And he's completely useless'.

I have to agree because at least in this episode.... he seemed like a waste of space. I felt the water balloon thing was just to give him something to do. It felt forced, like they just HAD to give him something silly to do. The ad was even all about Mikey's water balloons and nothing to do with Shredder and Dogpound.

Michelangelo was the reason they were able to defeat Dogpound.

Great episode... Dogpound was a s#!t ton cooler than I thought he was going to be.. Its too bad his toy doesn't do him justice..

That said.. Those of you wondering why he listens to shredder.. You forget shredder has said he was the one who trained Bradford so shredder already know all his tricks and sure dogpound could probably beat him arm wrestling there is no way he could match shredders speed, skill, or experience, shredder would certainly have the skills to work around dogpounds advantages if not turn them against him.. An like mentioned by others shreds still has a loyal army backing his every whim.

Also I think it would be more likely that fishface's new kicks come from Baxter instead of the kraang or at least reverse engineered by baxter from kraang tech.. At least that is how I would handle it...

For those still reading this far in this long post.. I typed it all on my phone on the toilet... See literacy has its rewards..... Ok I'm just kidding I'm actually on the couch watching tmnt 2 with my son.

Shredder would most likely cut his arm off before he could land a punch...

As for Mikey, yeah I forgot about the scene at the end... but still, the water balloon thing was kinda dumb. And it was actually Leo that pointed out that the water balloon would help, Mikey was gonna waste it and throw it at Leo despite all the serious stuff going on at the time. They could have find some way to make him useful than just being a constant annoyance. He's becoming lot like 2K3 Mikey....

PLEASE don't make him win any martial arts tournaments....
