Thats lame, YJL is so great, I hope for at least a 3rd series. I also want to see Thundercats season 2. Maybe with Clone Wars moving to the Disney channel, that will open up a block for Thundercats.

They need to make sure they put regular broadcast slots for these shows, so people don`t miss them and they have the best possible ratings, that way they will not get cancelled. It`s stupid to show 6 episodes of a season then not air the rest for like 8 months.

I hope Nick keep the new TMNT show in check, its another great show that deserves a multitude of seasons.

You know why Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon keep shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show and Spongebob around? Because they're ridiculously popular shows that get critical acclaim and move merchandise.

YJ for as 'popular' as it is, is still a niche show that never really 'broke through' with kids. Then you have the fact that the toy line failed miserably. At the end of the day YJ was expendable, Thundercats moreso! You go with the hot hand.

Oh yeah and Adventure Time is totally like Spongebob except that they're COMPLETELY different.

Are you a moron? I said all DC shows end around 52 episodes, 65 if they get lucky.

Of course B:TAS was the exception as it was written for syndication. And Justice League and Unlimited were counted as separate shows, (JL was 52 episodes, JLU was 39)

DC ends all their shows around 52-65 episodes now, this has been the norm for the last decade. If you were trying to be clever you failed miserably. Some of you have no idea had short-lived most superhero cartoons are.

No, but it seems that you just don't give a sh** about other peoples opinions and knowledge even though you open endless nonsensical Threads. Not to forget that you think you know everything, no matter what topic etc.

No it is no exception especially since Batman TAS was originally produced with only a 65 Episode run for syndication and a TV Movie which was supposed to be the Finale of the Series.
And about JL and JLU being two different shows or not is simply up to you own opinion.

Teen Titans (2003 - 2006) 65 Episodes
Legion of Superheroes (2006 - 2008 ) 26 Episodes

Even in the Last Decade not a single DC Show lasted 52 Episodes, most lasted over 52 Episodes and only one was cancled after 2 Season.
In your original Post you wrote that ALL DC Shows end after 52 Episodes, 65 if lucky - as you can see that was a wrong statement.

B:TAS was written for syndication back in the 90's. it's not as modern as the current cartoons which adhere to the 52/65 ep rule.

JL ended at 52 shows. JLU was considered a new series. That's why the first one ended at 52. And as I said, 65 eps for the other shows is where they concluded and got lucky. Legion was canceled early.

I understand English is not your first language as I know you're German. Most DC shows, even successful ones like Teen Titans end at 65 eps at the latest because DC only orders new episodes for syndication. Once that limit is reached they're done and produce a new show.

52 episodes is also what Static Shock ended with, Superman just barely scrapped at 54, Batman Beyond was 52, and Justice League was 52.

The others got 65 eps because the network wanted to sell toys.

this "rule" is something you just pulled out of your @$$. and wtf does nationality have to do with opinion?

so is the show being chosen as #1 on itunes an award type thing? or is it a rating type thing...like most downloaded or something? either way, thats pretty cool news!

What are you talking about? The rule that DC orders shows by is they stop at around 65 episodes because they have enough for syndication.

This is common knowledge stated in the DC animated forums all the time. Learn that TV cartoons are not produced to go on for a long time, they're produced to sell toys and for syndication.

That's why most superhero shows are so short lived.

What are they made for then? It's amazing that on the DC forums they lament this all the time.

selective retention, much? i think he was referring to you talking about this BS rule, not that shows are made with toy sales in mind.

. Most superhero cartoons only get greenlit because of a toyline. They also usually get canceled when a toyline bombs.

This is the reason Thundercats ended and why Young Justice is probably not getting another season.
