That's a good question. I always liked the alien story because it could tie them to the Kraang in this show. With how well this show is written I would be happy either way. My biggest concern would be when the toys are coming

Why would they change them to mutants? They should remain aliens from Dimension X.

is dimension x a thing in this version. i dont remember if its been mentioned or not...

but the kraang are aliens, not interdimensional anyway, right?

i could see them being mutants. maybe theres superheroes in this version too (on account of the costumes)and they get mutated.

either way, they look super-dope!

Yes we know based on talks from comic con and such that dimension x is part of the mythology of this show. The Kraang are from there even if we haven't seen it yet.

This show is taking its time (and I really applaud that) to roll out a lot of the plot details. They know that they want this show to last many seasons so they can't show all the cards in their hand so fast.

No new episode in the UK today

Nick UK are really starting to annoy me with this. They had a great run with the first 7 literally 2 days behind the US, then a 2 week gap, changed the time slot from Monday to Saturday and aired 8-10 (working out at 1 week behind as we were watching episode 10 whilst you guys got 11 last week), now we're on a break again, no episode today and next week is a repeat of Rise of the Turtles Part 2 (no idea why not Part 1!)

I wouldn't mind if they at least said something like "new episodes will return in January" or something, it would suck but at least we'd know!

Wouldn't worry about that. Looking at the TV guide repeats are on everyday over Christmas and they toys appear to be selling really well.

I really really hope they remain aliens, and their background remains somehow similar to the one they had in TMNTA. But then again, I'm starting to feel like the writers of the show are simply awesome, and whatever they do it'll sure be cool.

Well it's a good question... they seem to be focusing on mutants, ninjas and kraang tech the most so far. I think they will try to stay true to the roots of the characters.

I'm sure they'll remain aliens, they're going to explore the Dimension X angle eventually and it makes sense to see more inhabitants from it. I just wonder if we'll see the Neutrinos like IDW is doing.
