Speak for your goddamned self, you shut in. I played a large amount of games back in the day, too, but I still, you know, WENT OUTSIDE. You act like TV, games, and internet are the only things to do.

I was obviously referring to things we did while we were at home. I of course went outside.

There was no need to leave the tv open all the day. You could buy a tv magazine and read what the tv channels were playing evry day of the week. That what i was doing i was also a kid in 90' too and i got my first pc in 1996 but internet almost didnt exist .

Just checked the schedules. Phineas and Ferb airs at the same time as Ninja Turtles. That makes total sense for there to be a dip. Phineas and Ferb is kind of a big deal for kids.

No, the number of viewers was 3.372 million.

3.6/15 is the proportion of kids who watched. I think I explained it earlier in the thread somewhere.

No shame in losing viewers to P&F.

Do kids these days not like action cartoons anymore? It would kinda explain why the DC superhero shows aren't as popular as they used to be either.

I don't get it. When I was a kid I watched as many action/superhero shows as I possible could, especially Batman, Gargoyles, the old 90's Spiderman/X-men, TMNT, etc.

You would think with the popularity of movies like the Avengers, Spiderman and Batman that kids would want to watch action cartoons on TV every week.

You can't keep using yourself to measure what kids today are into.

Kids like a variety of shows and they don't just mindlessly leave the TV on to watch whatever comes on next for hours.

I think its probably because all the people seeing the modern superhero movies in theaters are adults like us, because as kids we enjoyed watching action/superhero cartoons. Its like re-living our youth in a way.

Kids today prefer comedy cartoons, which there's nothing wrong with, but its odd to me. Might also be why action figure toy sales have been declining.

Are you joking? Kids love the Superhero movies. It's not only adults going to see them.

Also people that have to 're-live' their youth are pathetic.

"It Came From The Depths" did well in the kid demos and made Nick's press release this week. Don't know the total number of viewers yet but I'll post them when they come out.

Quote:
SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Take Top Two Spots with Kids

SpongeBob SquarePants and TMNT rank as the top two animated series with K2-11 across all TV for the week, with SpongeBob averaging a 6.0/2.0 million and TMNT averaging 5.3/1.8 million. The two series are also the top animated series among K6-11, averaging a 6.3/1.3 million for SpongeBob and 4.9/979,000 for TMNT.

It did well enough but it needs to reach at least 10.000.000+ or even more viewers.
