She does have two expressions, but they are on the same head. Which makes sense since her hair covers the other.

I thought you were army building or hoarding and not buying for resale.

I kept three sets. Returning the others for cheaper. Waiting on bogo deals you all mentioned. Its return them or resell at no profit. 29.99 for ones I kept. Others cost me 42.67 per receipt. Was just asking for shipping.

It's easy to get excited about new TMNT merch. Just show some restraint in the future! The thing about LEGOs is they are always pretty easy to find new sets for about a year after they come out. But after that? The sets get phased out and disappear from shelves, and they SKYROCKET in value fast. This is especially true for sets based on popular properties like Star Wars and Superheroes. I bought a bunch of Harry Potter LEGO last year because I knew they were being phased out. LEGO discontinued the entire Harry Potter brand and probably won't make them again. They are going to be incredibly valuable in the years to come. This will probably be true of the TMNT stuff.

There is only one licensed brand that LEGO has kept alive for many years and that is Star Wars. Everything else tends to get 2 or 3 years at most and then phased out. Although it is starting to look like DC and Marvel superheroes may become a long-lived brand like Star Wars.

If value is what you care about you can always keep some of your extra sets to sell later.

Thanks Zul. Having a few hundred tied up in them doesn't hurt me. Maybe I will sit on them....the wife doesn't like me having multiples.....especially my 4 secret sewers still in boxes lol

The LEGOs are a hit so far. All over LEGO forums I'm seeing people heaping praise on these not only for the great minifigures but for the great play features in the sets (especially the Lair, Shellraiser and Baxter sets)

Currently amazon is SOLD OUT of all TMNT LEGO. More are sure to come soon, but it's a good sign

Anyone having issues with their Shellraiser? If you keep spinning the two front wheels they eventually fall off.

79101 Shredder's Dragon Bike - 198 pieces, $24.99 TRU price 34.99 (40% higher)
79102 Stealth Shell Persuit - 162 pieces, $19.99 TRU price: $27.99 (40% higher)
79103 Turtle Lair Attack - 488 pieces, $49.99 TRU does not seem to carry this

79105 Baxter Robot Rampage (Hard to Find) - 397 pieces, $39.99 TRU price 34.99 (12% higher)

If you can get a good discount via coupons or promotions, more power to you, for everyone else, for every set other than the Baxter set it is probably worth waiting it out unless you are impatient

Toys R Us Has the lair now. It is $70

I ordered all of the sets last night when Lego shop put them up for sale. I was trying to avoid these, but they are just too neat. Glad I didn't pay TRU prices for them though.

Grats man!

I am definitely going to get them all, but for now I just bought some of the cheaper sets.

I'll wait until lego.com has another free shipping promotion (their last one just ended right before TMNT was released). I'm building up a ton of lego points this year

Or, if I can get them discounted on amazon.

Wow...Toys R Us (well, mine anyway) wants almost 100 dollars for the shell raiser set. I get that all LEGOS are pretty expensive, but seriously?

That's among the highest I have heard... yeah, TRU is not where you want to spend your money for LEGOs unless you just don't care about costs. Or if you need one of the TRU exclusive sets, such as Baxter Stockman.

I know TRU is struggling to stay in business but overpricing the toys way above ALL of your other competitors is a very, very poor strategy.

I got mine on amazon, since I am a Prime member that is the best option for me usually.

Do I need to jump on the Baxter set now? I don't know how "Hard to find" works. My fear is that it's one of those items that will struggle to be in stock for a year or so until it is eventually discontinued and I'm SOL. Or is "Hard to find" simply another way of saying I can only go to one store (TRU) to pick it up and as long as it's not discontinued I shouldn't have a problem frinding it there?

IKR? The exact price was around $89.99...ridiculous. Then I saw the Kraang lab escape set (which is the smallest and cheapest) and they wanted about 20 dollars for it. Not too bad I guess, but I've heard that it's only about 12 dollars elsewhere.

Where do you live? It also has to do with your location. As down here in south florida .things tend to be cheaper. The krang set is only 14.99 at my toys r us. With the 15% off coupon last week and my 10% employee discount, I got the krang set for under 12 bucks.
