surprised people hate the masks, I thought they were pretty cool. Change is nice sometimes.

On page 7 Leo looked like he was attending some fruity masquerade ball, but other than I thought they were neat too.

Oh well. I was simply trying to say that many mainstream comics still carry a sexualized portrayal of female characters, and some readers, such as the poster I was replying to, even welcome it. It's a subject that's been largely discussed, and even though it happens the other way around in plenty of fan art, those kind of products hardly ever make it to the big publishers.

Now, if you want to assume that I'm a nob unaware of the real world for saying this, go ahead.

Sorry for the off-topic.

I don't mind the new masks like some people do, but I'm not overly thrilled about them either. The story and art thus far are superb, hopefully the next 3 installments are as good or better.

Spoiler:
I still don't think/am hoping that Ch'rell will show up in this universe. I think/hope that's Krang in the last panel.

I love those two panels where the Foot are spying on Dr. Miller, that was creepy/awesome.

And I wonder if Donatello's "special project" meant anything or was just casual dialogue.

I sure wish IDW would limit those ****ing guys on either frequency or price of their variants. At some point you'd think they'd figure out that having a 3rd party that price gouges their brand every month is bad for PR.

I've already spent over $60 plus shipping on this issue and the 3 Jetpacks aren't even available for sale yet. Yikes!
Do we have any indication of what the Jetpack prices will be yet?

I am fuming, I only get 3 comics, 4 if there is a micro-series going. I see people come in and grabbing their p&h's with like 20 books. This isn't the first time either, I am about ready to find another outlet...

I understand the frustration I too have only a small pull list. Fact is we rank lower than the people who buy those twenty books a week, because they are more guanteed money a month than them. Doesn't excuse the behavior but I have experienced it and my store knows me at the Turtle guy so its never been an issue with me. Still just be aware that if you take your business elsewhere and are only keeping it to three or four books a months then you are going to be treated as such whereever you go.

I noticed in Spengler's review that this is supposed to take place between #16 and #17 of the ongoing. Did I miss something about this or is this speculative reasoning?

I'm thinking this takes place after The Krang Wars, personally. But we'll have a better idea once they both conclude in March.

Jetpack hasn't updated their website yet, but they are selling 2 of the 3 on their eBay store, cesradjr. For some reason, Cover A isn't up there yet. But Cover B has a listing for $29.99 and Cover C (the blank one) has one for $39.99. They had 1 listing for 5 sets of Covers B and C together listed earlier today for $59.99, which was a savings of $10. I snatched the last one of those up a couple hours ago. I'm assuming they'll repost again but I don't know for sure. The listings claim Cover B was limited to 500 copies printed and the blank Cover C was 250.

Thanks for the info man, I'm taking a huge six state road trip this weekened to celebrate my Sister's last weekend before going back to college and Jetpack was going to be one of the stops since we'll be in New Hampshire... Given me a bit of an idea on what I'll be spending

Speculative. It's the only place it can go at the moment. If something happens to contradict that placement, I'll move it then.

I prefer not to place things after stories that haven't been published yet since I don't know how those are going to turn out.

No problem. I would be interested to know if they're any cheaper buying at the local B&M store vs. ordering online. Not that it would help me- I live in MN lol. But if you think about it, report back with your experience!

I forgot to mention that I loved how Burnham brought back Masato from his Micro, that was cool to see him as a young man.

Also, were Kitsune and Tatsuo an item?

I know sometimes things like this can't be helped, but in #17 Splinter has a little monologue about recent hardships, and doesn't say too much about the Foot. Plus Leo and Mike are still pretty butthurt about the events of Blood Brothers.

Also
Spoiler:
we'll have to see how they react to the Krang reveal. That'll probably be the easy indicator as to where they're placed.

Like I said though, we'll see in March.

Read the whole issue before complaining about the masks Leos mask looks like a feminine masquerade mask in one panel of the preview. In the rest of the issue it looks better. I freakin love these masks! The art is amazing shredder and Karai look great!

Understood. Not trying to give you a hard time, but couldn't you use that same reasoning for #17 since its arc is also unfinished? It's moot since we'll know in a few months, but just thought I'd point it out.

Spengler: I think it is too (mostly because of the very Fred Wolf-ish, assumedly early-prototype Krang exo-suit body), but why are you so sure that it's Krang inside that exo-suit at the end?

Mostly the Krang-ish bodysuit design. But like I said in my review, it could be Quaylood or whatever his name is I already forgot.

If it is, I'll change it.
