So I finally got around to reading this book, and it was very...revealing. Pretty much answers all the Krang questions and ties SHoTF with the main series. All makes sense now...

Yeah, I'm in the half of the country that got an extra week tacked onto the already hefty delay, so I won't be getting it today.

Bobby said the main warehouse that was getting delayed was in Memphis and Littel Rock is only a couple hours from Memphis, so it's no surprise my area fell victim to the extra-extra-extra delay on this issue.

A real bummer. I'll just have to avoid spoilers for another 7 days.

Does anyone else think IDW should get a new distrabutor????? Diamond has had shipping problems time and again. As of right now my comic store does not have it and does not know if they will even be getting it today......

Awesommmmme issue. My ramblings, spoilers included:

First of all, Ben Bates draws some sick action scenes. I always loved Dan Duncan's swipe effect he would use during fights, but Bates stuff practically reads like it's moving. Mikey was kicking some ass. Also, Ronda's coloring was at it's best in a while.

Some great reveals, for sure. And I loved how the sequence of Fugitoid filling the turtles (and us) in didn't bore even though it covered a lot of stuff from his Micro. I'm glad they explained that one computer screen from the background in Fugitoid that said "Earth casualties post-terraform: 3.3 Million" or whatever.

Interesting to find out that Quanin was our mystery oot at the end of Foot Clan #1 and not Krang. Love his fashion sense lol. Krang's facial expressions in the flash backs really demonstrated what a whimp he used to be. I'm super excited for his Micro now.

Very clever detective work on April's part there, and even sneakier of Karai! Can't wait to see her to go to Burnow Island. I wonder if she'll sneak in alone, or storm it with a contingent of ninja.

That was actually pretty rough stuff with the Neutrino royalty at the end there... Other than Saki executing the Hamato's in #5, this was the biggest "he needs a beatdown" moment in the series.

Thank God only two weeks til 19!

Well, I don't want to be too condemning, as this is issue #18 and it is the FIRST time we've ever experienced a serious delay on this title. If this were a recurring problem with the TMNT book then there might be greater cause for outrage, but I won't throw stones for a first offense.

Also, Diamond has a borderline monopoly on comics distribution in the US. IDW can't choose a different distributor because there are none. It's Diamond or nothing, which believe me, is a matter that has caused plenty of angst and frustration within the comics industry and community for YEARS.

According to Bobby, the first month-long delay was caused by customes problems (as the books were printed in Europe, I think, for cost purposes).

However, a problem with a major warehouse in Memphis has caused a huge section of the US to not get the comic today (other areas that use a different, unaffected warehouse should be getting the book today, though).

For those of us in areas where our comic shops are serviced by the Memphis warehouse, we have to wait an extra week.

Hey, I'm one of those that has to wait, so I'm no happier about it than anybody else.

Ahh I see. I didn't know it was printed in Europe! I just assumed that it was printed in the US. I feel for you anyway, I hate waiting for stuff I know is available for others!

I think I got spoiled from the excellent art from the mini series because Bate's art looked rushed in many of the panels. I wasn't overly impressed with this issue, but that could because the wait between issues was pretty hefty in the ongoing. Anyway some awesome action shots.

This ultrom origin story and their savage desire to conquer other planets within Dimension X really reminds me of the Saiyans, especially with the near destruction of both their races and their home planets.
