Wow, did they strike gold with this design or what? This is definitely my favorite character design for the Nick show, with Leatherhead being a close second. Mean looking lizard head- check, oversized 90s shoulder pad-check, tons of pouches and compartments for turtle crushing goodness-check, cool looking skull on his chest-check. And the name? "Newtralizer" friggin perfect!

Cant wait to see him in action!

I can't get over how awesome it is that Ciro created this TMNT character as a kid and now he gets to have a toy of it and see it in action in the show. Truly awesome.

It is truly awesome! Can you imagine what it would be like if you were to draw up a character as a kid, and then have someone tell you it would one day not only come to life, but be on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Incredible!

When did Ciro say he created the character as a kid?

Indeed he does. I wonder if he will be a Friend/Foe sort of like leatherhead.

I love the figure but i'm scared for how it will actually look on shelves. I see a lot of potential cost cutting they could do on this one, and I don't want to see that happen T__T He looks great.

Really cool design. It looks like a Mutant in one of the earlier TMNT toy lines (The 87 series) except more badass.

That is my main worry about this as well, Like I can tell the silver parts will all be plain silver, none of the little details will be painted in ther, but I am really worried about how the skin will end up, if it's just going to be black and red pretty much. Hopefully they pull it off though because he looks fkn awesome!

Sure is, I believe Archie comics published the one you see pictured and Marvel actually published a "Punisher meets Archie" issue that has the same interior pages.

With all those straps pouches and shoulder pads its pretty obvious he was inspired by comics of the 90s.. stuff like X-force, Youngblood, Wildcats, X-Men, and Punisher.... Its not surprising he comes from a character Ciro created during that time.

Pretty much 90s Rob Liefeld and Jim Lee.

Here some info on Newts:

Newts share many of the characteristics of their salamander kin; Caudata, including semi-permeable glandular skin, four equal sized limbs and a distinct tail. The newt's skin, however, is not as smooth as that of other salamanders.[3] Aquatic larvae have true teeth on both upper and lower jaws, and external gills.[4] They have the ability to regenerate limbs, eyes, spinal cords, hearts, intestines, and upper and lower jaws. Recently it was discovered that the Japanese fire belly newt can regenerate its eye lens 18 times over a period of 16 years and retain its structural and functional properties.[5] The cells at the site of the injury have the ability to de-differentiate, reproduce rapidly, and differentiate again to create a new limb or organ. One theory is that the de-differentiated cells are related to tumour cells since chemicals which produce tumours in other animals will produce additional limbs in newts.

The regeneration ability is pretty neat. Probably won't see it in the show, but it would be cool to see.

If this is the Pulveriser mutated, I bet we will, as he's rather accident prone.

Yeah, he either accidently falls into a vat of mutagen or it gets dumped on him by mistake. Looking at the figure, the Newtralizer is very stout.

I have also heard that playmates are making a TMNT "wasp". Wonder what it would be? Maybe a parody of a TMNT fanboy who totes around a little Karai plush?
