Leonardo has to be pretty screwy to team up with the guy who not only killed his father, but also killed him and his 3 brothers as kids.

Unless he's just hypnotized/drugged/put under a magic spell, etc....it really will have to be some damn good writing to pull this off.

While I am not a very vocal member of the board but I just really have to express my excitement.

I am thoroughly enjoying the comics current direction. I look forward each month to every ongoing related comic. I am nervous about the "betrayal" but I honestly have to say I foresaw something of the sort happening.

it feels slightly cliche to have a betrayal and return of a team member. If done well [which i have high hopes that it will] It can still be fun to read and tell us a lot of about the characters.

I am rooting for this and excited for every up coming comic.

While I think you're probably right, I would love it, and be most impressed, if The Shredder could legitimately find a way to convince Leo that his side is right, with some kind of ideological persuasion.

I could see him using the Slash incident as "proof" that the strong survive in this world. "Did not you yourself use your strength to strike down an enemy when your life was threatened?" You know, that sort of thing. Seems fitting to outside Leo with ideology too. We'll see. IDW has proven before that they think these things through.

Sounds really great! But Leo's probably just going to join the foot to betray them or try to get close to Shredder.
I can't wait to see what Karai does because I believe she will become upset with Shredder choosing Leo over her.

I echo others who predict Leo's turnabout is in actuality a ruse to infilatrate the Foot and learn more anout the enemy.

"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." But I can't help but feel like he would at least told Splinter so his brothers wouldn't try to kill him in battle!

I'm very happy to see Santolouco taking over the book. Bates' work is fantastic, but I feel like Santolouco's style fits the Turtles better. I only wish he didn't do that with their bandanas.

As I've said before, I'm not liking the IDW run very much, but I believe that, if done right, things could get a lot better after this arc. We'll see.

Eh. They wouldn't kill anyone else in the Foot, why would they start with Leo?

oh idw's tmnt is going to last well after 50 issues. the art has been good and the stories have been very entertaining thus far. i lost the scepticism by the end of the duncan era.

"human" emotions are very powerful. even in the best of "people" they can be swayed like grass on a breezy day.

very possible and it wouldnt surprise me if it panned out that way. but it wouldnt be as powerful of a story if it were to come about this way vice Leo actually deciding to turn.

I saw the article this morning. Last night seeing this topic I thought it was a James Bond crossover that should be in the fan-fiction section!

So now, we have a title for the mega arc andthis is where Leonardo will flirt with the darkside. City At War deals with criminal factions fighting over ho is the top dog in the underworld with The Shredder dead. This seems to be the rise of The Shredder as the top dog of the underworld. Tristan Jones said he knew nothing of plans for HUn, but it loks like Hun will be included afterall. As for the yet to be known mutants, Bebop,Rocksteady, and Leatherhead. Come on,who else would that refer to? Do we see Agent Bishop,Rat King or any ally fitting into this mega arc?

Hey why can't Michelangelo make decisions for the team for a change? He has so much untapped potential in that department!


Interesting writting is an understatement. This writting will define the series as we look back and I perdict amazing to all turtle fans alike. Can it match the potential that Forever War had and be as amazing as The Future Shark Trilogy or be as impactful as Return To New York? I say yes to all three questions!
