Why is this show so despised?

The plots of Season 1 have been kept simple which is fine for now, but I really hope come Season 2 the show goes beyond, "New mutant is introduced, Turtles fight the Kraang, Mike does something stupid, rinse and repeat."

Even the original toon had so much variety in its plots and the humor was more sophisticated.

The original toon more sophisticated? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the laugh this morning.
