Another problem is the other artists didn't draw them with that, so it feels odd to see the IDW Turtles with these weird random bandanas when they don't really have them.

a few weeks off the drome and come to this... SO FKN AWESOME!

can't wait for this arc. and Santouloco on art duty (hehe duty) is going to be a real treat. his art on the foot clan mini series is just amazing. can't wait to see how he draws the Turtles in the ongoing... most likely he'll be drawing them similarly. don't see why he would change his designs anyway. as for the bandannas... not big of a fan of the stylized bandannas but i'll live with it. not big a deal.

looking forward to who that "supporting character fighting for their life" person will be. surprised no one brought that up. if april or casey or even splinter will be fighting for their lives... i'm curious as to how? ninja threat? illness? looking forward to that.

the leo turn is something i'd like to see happen willingly and not the cliche double agent bit. i'd like to see shredder convince him to join and that his brothers have to beat the crap out of him to open his eyes and see who he's fighting. also... i want to see leo in that slash bandanna. total badass status. glad to see this story arc will set the stage for the usual leo/raph tension. as refreshing as the leo/don conflict was... i was a little leaning toward leo because of don's condescending attitude in the beginning. but the leo/raph conflict is something i've always liked because i could never choose a side. so i'm looking forward to that. we saw a tiny glimpse of raph's rage before (towards casey's dad) and i actually cannot wait to see him aim that rage at leonardo for an epic brother showdown.

anyway... too much to say about this. can't wait. super stoked!

I would love to see the IDW Turtles adopt the red again for a few issues, and their brother leaving the family would have been a perfect moment for them to once again take one one color to signify the broken family again (even thought it was "Raph's color").

mmm don't think so, #61 came out before the sale to viacom. Probably just some light humor the writer threw in there. Still, pretty damn funny, especially considering #61 was published back in 09, just a few months before the sale.

I don't think Viacom would allow a joke like that in an IDW comic or anything else that had their seal on it.

Agreed. I have no quips with Mateus's bandanas.

Even when given such a high quality product people will nit-pick sometimes just to complain about something, it seems.

About the stylized bandanas, it seems that more people than I expected like them. No problem then. I thought no one here liked them. I personally find them useless, like Andrew said, not a HUGE problem, anyway.

Considering the fact that they put out like a thousand variant covers for each issue, would it be too much to ask for a version of the comic where the bandanas are all red? Maybe make it a pre-order only thing?

Thanks! I guess I forgot that this "City At War" took place before they brought Ch'rell back into the picture. It's too bad they didn't listen to any of Laird's concerns, especially regarding Karai... This really was one of the worse adaptations in this series.
