Actually that was really more... a city caught in the turmoil of fighting between the Foot Clan and... the Foot Clan.

The title just makes me think of Skyfall. I can picture a psychologist doing the word association thing with Leo.

It's a small point, but I just want to say the title is City Fall, not Cityfall. Too separate words.

I specifically said that I was willing to do a typo check of the interview, but they said they had it handled... and it was riddled with typos!! Blerg!

Eh, I'm the guy who missed "bother" in the TMNT annual dedication. I guess I can't throw stones.

Between the previous "Turtles in Space" arc (although here it was Krang War), and City Fall, it almost seems like the IDW universe is being a more condensed version of Mirage with some cartoon characters thrown in.

I like how they're taking Mirage arcs and putting their own twist on things, it is refreshing. I just hope the stuff they're skipping over (Triceratons, Rat King, Leatherhead) all find their way into the series eventually.

Not really sure why streamlining was necessary though when they were willing to expand a 3 part issue arc, Turtles In Space, into 7 episodes, including the Secret Origins episodes. It also felt like it was adapted for adaptation's sake, rather than trying to live up to the significance of that storyline.

I'm certainly thankful that Karai hasn't fallen into complete obscurity, sure, but her reasoning was never very sound. I sort of liked some of the ideas they had for her character though, but they didn't quite pull it off as intelligently as I would have liked. We probably won't agree on this, but that's okay.

Haha, that makes more sense, and makes me not think of Skyfall as much. You'd think at the very least they'd make sure they got the title right.

I guess when it came up to that point in plotting the season there x episodes left to work with and knew where they wanted to be at season's end. I agree when it comes to her sudden jump to taking up The Shredder mantle after the utroms stating she was sent to prision without any development inbetween.Aside from that particular two parter she was great especially with characterization. As far as disagreeing,it comes from personal preferences and as long as cordial its what makes franchises so great.

Are you the same Matches Malone user from the former dccomics.com message boards by chance?

I see the Dark Knight Rises poster with the crumbling buildings but instead the shape of the foot symbol opposed to a bat. Maybe its silly but that is image this storyline has planted in my brain.

Anyone get the feeling Rat King might make his IDW debut in this arc, given he was in City at War?

They turned issue 4 into the two part Search for Splinter. Turned issues 5, 6, and the Fugitoid issue into the five part "Turtles in Space Part", and turned issue 7 into the three part Secret Origins. So they sorta turned a 5 part arc into a 10 part one.

Or as Riddler would say, "Riddle me this, what kind of a man has bats on the brain?"

We have punks involved under the Purple Dragon label and The Hun heading them up. We have the Savante ninjas, but are they actually evil or will they play a role similar to the guardians? Will Krang be involved or sit this out as well as any role Old Hob and Slash may play? Gueses?

I guess Krang doesn't care about NYC. Don't know about the whole planet Earth.

Krang has his own agenda, which is centered in Burnow Island. IIRC, the only time we've seen him in New York was when he paid Baxter a visit.

If he launches a full-scale attack, I'm sure NYC would surely be a target being the largest in the US and a hub for so much.

I picture Krang sitting this out for the most part. I could be wrong, but I'm thinking the Turtles and NRF thrash him pretty good, and it looks like Karai is gonna cause a bunch of problems on Burnow Island. So it should be a while before he's back on his feet again.

One thing to consider is the oneshots this time will focus on him,Baxter Stockman, and Old Hob. Only the last one, Alopex do we know know for sure has any connection to the City Fall arc. So while this is going on they may not participate aside from Alopex which might explain the role she might play in the storyarc as well as give us the origin that Secrets of The Foot Clan will start and it finish. The other three might be preparing for the next arc like Secrets is now while we are getting Krang War in the title or how City Fall effects Krang, Baxter Stockman, and Old Hob. Food for thought.

Krang just got his huge arc. I'm sure he won't be involved in this one, or we'll only see him in limited capacity.

This arc looks to bring this back to a more urban and realistic story after the sci-fi arc of Krang/Neutrinos. The amount of Foot Clan fighting and Purple Dragon stuff is a nice balance to the sci-fi we just had previously.

Agreed, they might have Krang in the background but if he is in there at all he will only be there in a limited capacity.

I wonder if Slash will look more like he did in the April micro, rather than the Tokka-ish design he had in the Kuhn issues. I'm fine either way though.

I'm just happy he's in it at all! I can't wait for some new characters!
