When characters are revived after this long a gap between animated shows, its a pretty big deal.

Baxter/Leatherhead/Rat King/Karai were just in the previous cartoon, but we haven't seen General Traag outside the IDW run in almost 20 years.

I wonder if kids will want a toy of Traag, it would be interesting if Playmates made him a giant figure to begin with.

If it hasn't been pointed out prior, on a lot of the concept art of the characters you can find their debut episode in the top right hand corner of the art work. For General Traag, it says 117, Season 1 Episode 17.
For some reason while doing a search for the character art, some have this omitted and others don't. Two different "leaked" versions?

I imagine most people did. But, in the ep "Michelangelo's Birthday", Krang said they were a previously-mutated species. That's why his anti-mutagen turned them into boulders... and the turtles into parade balloons.

The old show was never consistent with character origins. One flashback showed Krang's race as a bunch of brain-like Utroms, but later on in the Krangezoid episode we find out they all had bodies.

Yeah well we only saw the one for the Rock Soldier so I'm sticking with the idea that they are mutants as well.
