I don't know how extras get hired out in the US, but out here in Belgium, every time a movie gets shot an open casting call is announced in papers, on the radio and internet.

A few months ago this was the case when they filmed scenes for 'The Fifth Estate' (starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Julian Assange) in my hometown of Hoeilaart and a few other cities. All you had to do was register on the casting guild's website. I almost registered but had a deadline to meet at work...

If I were you, Prophecy718, I'd keep my eyes peeled and ears wide open these days in New York...

It's probable that many elements from that draft will make their way into the final film. The alien thing for sure, though it might be smoothed out more. But many things will definitely be gone, or approched differently. I'm hoping the whole Col. Schrader thing goes to the wayside, but who knows?

I'm still wondering why they aren't following IDW's storyline. It's decent enough that a good number of fans like/love it, and I feel that comic sales would go up as a result of it.

I've also been wondering about that, it seems that I see that picture attached to anything having to do with the new movie. I'm 95% sure that it's fan art though...

I can absolutely see that. I actually gave a look at the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Blu-ray, and watched the documentary.

For those who don't know, the real story for Megan Fox not being part of that film is because, during Transformers 2, Fox had mentioned that working with Michael Bay "was like working for Hitler".

Producer Steven Spielberg didn't like that at all, and thus got her fired.

But on the Blu-ray, Michael Bay's reason for 'not having Megan Fox' was because...."she looked too different".

Uh...looked too different? What, did she get a new nose like Jennifer Grey?

So yeah...Michael Bay was flat out lying his ass off about that...he also said that he'd 'tone down the goofy humor' for that third film...

So...is that why we had folks like Ken Jeong and John Malkovich in the flick, acting all 'zany'?

So Bay does have a tendency to have F.O.S.S...(for those who don't know, it's Full Of Sh*t Syndrome).

I don't know...eliminating the stereotypical twins cut down on a lot of the 'goofy humor' of the 2nd movie.

Hahaha! The only thing I'll give him credit for toning down is the racial sterotypes. He nixed the ape-faced, gold-toothed, illiterate twins. And he gave Tyrese's character a real role, instead of Josh Duhamel's sidekick, who was basically Token Black Guy from Not Another Teen Movie.

And we won't even go back and talk about Jazz.

Jazz was always black though. He was voiced by Scatman Crothers in the old show. You don't get much blacker.
