Considering Casey is legally an adult in the Nick version, unless NYC changed age of consent I'm not aware of, the writers wouldn't be in a hurry for him to date a minor.
So I'm not really expecting a huge romance drama. Maybe this could be a huge plot point to a Spanish telenovela, but not to a cartoon. TBH, while I do ship April/Don and admit it probably won't get anywhere, I'll appreciate if April's love life is not what drives her character arc. I'm not against April/Casey btw. They were just... there. I also don't understand why the fans seem to cringe with the Turtles finding love. I mean... didn't Leo end up with a human (granted, she's a superhero and got fridged later down the road, but still)?

At best, women will often be minor characters or will not be present at all. Stories about women are for women, stories about men are for general consumption.
