Why must you constantly champion the source material/Mirage books? You know they're going with the "definitive" or more widely known mythology. No amount of soapboxing is gonna make the Platinum Dunes people go to the Mirage books even to the extent Barron did in his film. At what point do you just say, "Screw it...this isn't my Turtles."

Regardless of what she wore on the cover of her first appearance, without some type of throwback to the cartoon show the only way to identify April as "April" in the film would be to literally exclude ALL other female characters from the entire movie. That's how generic she is. I say let her have the yellow jacket. At least it's something identifiable as "April" in some subtle way.

Who cares what she wore one time on the cover of a black n white comic, anyway? For all we know, the cover(s) is wrong and Mirage April is half-Japanese, dyes her hair pink and green, and dresses only in gaudy fire engine red. Probably not, but why should it be unthinkable she own a yellow jacket? OR a blue one, for that matter? Just because "She didn't that one very first time we saw her"? I dunno, man...

EDIT: Yeah, she looks fairly hot in the above pic, but again, in that shot, she could literally be anyone. At least the yellow jacket gives you a clue she's playing April. I'm cool with her not wearing it for the duration of the entire film, but I'm honestly glad she does at least once.

I kinda wonder why they can't draw from different universes? I mean, both the Nick and IDW series' did so and both seem to be doing ok. I don't think it matters what the "definitive" mythology is, as big as it was Fred Wolf fans will still only make up a small potion of the audience. In any event, the people Platinum Dunes are going after are average moviegoers who know nothing about the turtles and aren't gonna care if it's based off the comics or cartoons or whatnot.

If they really wanted to please diehard fans they would have April wear a yellow jumpsuit in every scene. Having April wear a yellow jacket in one seems more like throwing fans a bone than anything else.

Megan Fox is looking hot. And any chance of getting a Vernon like we got in the old toon is chance for some really awesome things. We have to have Irma and Burne. I love the Channel Six crew.

I'd rather the foot soldiers be ninjas instead of soldiers and i'm not really digging their look or the Colonel Shrader idea. If thats what they are going to go with, I hope it can be the best it can be. but eh...

I like the yellow jacket. It figures that they would find a way to get Fox on a trampoline. That foot soldier looks interesting.... kinda like the bank robbery in the Dark Knight...

Well they have said mo-cap and Alan Ritchson said he was running around New York with Fox looking great and him having heaps of cameras on his face. Apparently they are using brand new mo-cap tech allowing the actors to be more expressive in every way. I think it is safe to assume that the Turtles will be full CGI.

He was a military leader of "The Foot", a Black-ops unit and was revealed later on to be a yellow-skinned alien with the ability to sprout spikes.
