Dude, there's nothing good that will come out of this movie. I don't understand why some people are actually still holding onto hope. It's already shaping up to look like a terrible, very, very long version of "Next Mutation".

Sorry to be such a downer, I really wanted to have high hopes for this movie. But after everything we've seen--militia Foot, April as a sex god, especially with the addition of Vern--this movie is going to be crap. One-hundred percent pure unadulterated crap.

A blown up version of OT, maybe. And I'd love to see that. I was underwhelmed by the casting of Megan Fox. I don't think she's great for the role, but I don't think it's a tough role, either. In my opinion, all the news since then has been positive, or at least interesting.

And really, they put Megan Fox on a trampoline, then the gave her a conservative workout outfit - under a jacket. There could have been midriff and cleavage everywhere. I don't think they're playing up the sexiness too much, if they passed up that opportunity.

Hey Chris, I get that impression because the militia Foot remind me of Shredder's goons from the Next Mutation. Granted, perhaps nothing can be worse than the NM, but the decision to make the Foot appear as they do reminds me horribly of said NM Foot. It's hard to tell with the pictures given, but it looks like they are trying to pull off some weird Asian inspired camo masks or something. It looks terrible, in my opinion. I feel like Colonel Shrader (because you know he's revealed next) will have some rinky-dink tie-in to Japan line explaining the 90s-reeking Asian inspired mask.

Although I will say as the pictures aren't entirely clear, I could be entirely wrong in speculating that they're Asian inspired masks.

Megan Fox is hot. I feel April's not really supposed to be "hot", in my opinion, because in Mirage she seems cute at best.

Eh, I'm not a fan of the design on the Channel 6 logo; it's simultaneously generic and non realistic, if that's even possible.

If they were gonna homage, they might have well gone all in with the old logo:

Now we are criticizing the channel 6 news logo? WOW. In all honestly, it's just as realistic as any other news logo, save for the lack of a major affiliate integrated with it (ABC, NBC, etc.) It's a lot more realistic / less generic than the cartoon logo you presented.

Blah. Yup. That's exactly what I'm expecting. I've been relatively calmed by much of the news of late. I now expect it to be an live action remake of the OT more or less, at least in style. But this one trope is dumb.

If we're going to make April the lead, why not give her a more powerful role than a girl stuck in a dead end job who needs the turtles to move up in her career. Not only has it been done to death, it's not really a very interesting A or B plot to begin with!

April could have broken into 'genuine journalism' on her own long before the turtles got there.

I don't get why they would make you think of the Next Mutation Foot. The Foot in the Next Mutation were a street gang who dressed like ninjas, like in the first two films.
