I kept getting reminded of the second movie when Raph and Keno wanted Keno to infiltrate the Foot and Splinter forbade it b/c it would be dangerous to put Keno in that situation. Yet here everyone except Donnie thought it was a great idea.

Yeah, that's a great comparison. Donnie has had some great character moments in this series.

I think all the characters on this show have been developed nicely considering how it's only the first season. But, yes, Donnie has had a lot of great moments so far. This incarnation of Donnie is awesome!

and this show's you that the turtles aren't perfect people they go through everything from fighting mutant's,aliens who wants to open a portal to earth and an evil clan that want's splinter dead,the turtles go through lesson's through at each episode by master splinter and that's why i love this show it gives them character unlike some cartoons nowadays (not to say some are bad no they have great character development ie:adventure time for example)

I'm surprised at what happened to Timothy. It's a not so happy ending.

I thought this was a solid episode. It had some really great action scenes, and a lot of the humor was spot on. I've never been a fan of Pulverizer though, so his scenes kept me from truly loving it. But that being said, I really like what they did with him in the end. Was it tragic? Yeah, but it's also his own fault - he did it to himself after being warned multiple times not to.

Not that I think he "deserved" it, mind you. No one deserves that. But I think him being Mutagen Man in the future is a step in the right direction for his character. He learned things the hard way this episode, and I'm interested to see how this ultimately effects his personality.

One thing I did find a bit odd was just how uncaring the Turtles were at the end. They all seemed content to just leave him to be destroyed, and then when they got him back to the lair they were all "Well, he's a mutant so he's probably happy, so Donnie? Keep him in your lab so we don't have to see him." He's a KID. That just seemed... overly harsh.

Donnie's character comes out so much in this episode, they're making it clear that he is clearly distracted and worried about all of his friends who could be in trouble; which obviously leads to April.

If April gets captured in the finale. (2 parter or not) Watch out, cause Donnie's character will probably go all lengths to save her (If Leo tells him they need a plan, but Donnie goes by himself not adhering), which could be as much harm than good.

Pretty decent episode. I felt sorry for Timothy and what happened to him even though he really wanted it. Now he realizes what a mistake it was to do that. Loved the weapons switch and the chase scenes as well. I always thought Timothy had to be in his twenties or thirties. He doesn't really look like a teen to me. I also wonder where April was and why she wasn't at least sitting around. Kind of odd. Overall, a pretty decent ep. I thought he'd be Newtralizer, too, but apparently he's going to be Mutagen Man. He's mutation was dark and what he turned into was pretty bad, too.

Aw, man, what a jaw-dropping episode! I am so impressed that they didn't pull their punches when it came to the Pulverizor's fate. How horrible, and yet what a powerful lesson to learn. When you get involved with stuff that's not only over your head, but actually dangerous, terrible things can happen.
Rant time:
My only complaint is how this series' writers depict Leo at times. That last line he said about the Pulverizer getting what he wanted rubbed me wrong. They make him too cold and arrogant and kind of a jerk sometimes. I believe that's a mischaracterization. No one likes the guy who's put in charge. And he's certainly a hard a** at times. He has to be. I think he's shown to be un-empathetic and almost cruelly cold at different points and that's unfair. I think he's more way more compassionate than they give him credit. Being the leader means having to act as the 'bad guy' at times in order to keep his family secure and out of harms way.
End of Rant! P.S. Leo's my favorite since forever and I have to step up and defend him sometimes!

Overall this show keeps getting better and better. The action in this episode! The Foot soldiers were so cool! The fight sequences! Splinter being a hard a**! Poor Donnie feeling responsible and promising him a cure! Kraang and Shredder TEAMING UP!!! Awesome. Awesome-sauce. xo

Yep, definitely a darker episode. Don't feel stupid at all! We get into the characters 'cuz we love the show and the stories! If you didn't feel anything what a waste of time watching this would be for you! And how boring would life be if we never 'felt' anything we were reading/watching/writing, etc. So, don't feel bad at all

Hmmm, but for the show, I think the writers had him 'volunteering' so happily to lesson the impact of, if instead, the Foot were forcing him to mutate which is something Shredder would have certainly done to one of his expendable men. But too scary for the younger audiences, unfortunately.

But in the end, It was still a harsh lesson for him to learn...but I am really impressed they followed through and made it not a fun or happy experience for him. Poor guy. I feel confident that Donnie will eventually save him. And yes, Donnie's character development was wonderful in this episode. Loved him. But am I the only person who was cracking up with Donnie 'finding' coins on the downed Foot soldier? I was like, Donnie's ROBBING that Foot soldier! XD I've got a darker sense of humor, maybe.

Wow... just wow.

Out of all the episodes that only had some 80 cartoon/Archie comics tone, this was the one that felt most like the 80s cartoon as well as being one of the darker episodes. I could see around the end why Pulverizer would become more of a villain at the end how most of the turtles were treating him. I honestly though the 'switch weapons/no weapons plot's was going to save for later. Now I kind of want to see them take the plot from the recent IDW Comic/Turtle prequel with

Splinter dressing up, sneak attack the turtles and using different styles and an French accent to show them how much they still need to learn.

At first I thought Shredder was going to create a robotic Foot Clan army but it wasn't until I saw that comic with the 80s Mutagen Man Mikey was holding. Shredder and Kraang finally teaming up I see.

Donnie was the true hero of this episode as well as the conscious. Raph felt more witty/80s Raph except for a few scenes. Mikey pretending to be the leader and making fun of Leo got me giggling. Even though Leo didn't do alot I enjoyed him in this episode. Splinter was awesome even though we got tough Disciplinarian Master Splinter.

One of my favorite scenes when Leonardo ordered everyone to take their weapons back and when they did they all had white eyes.

I like the little rhyme thing they did with their weapons, and the life is not a video game scene. Overall it was a decent episode.6/10.

Good episode though I liked the last one a lot more.

I feel sorry for Timmy, for what he became, but he is the one who never listened and it lead to his down fall.

I was annoyed that April wasn't even shown since she is supposed to be living there now. Though you could say she was training when the turtles weren't in the training area or was just avoiding them.

Still no mention of Baxter Stockmen or Karai at all.

I wonder what his parents are going to do being that their son is missing. since he will be living in Donatello's lab.

So we already touched upon the fact that Timothy is just a teenager, so he's obviously still living with parents. That's why I didn't want anything to happen to him. Imagine if that was you, and your parents are wondering just where the hell you are. It even made me think back to the 80s series, where there was this episode where Bebop goes home and his mother doesn't recognize him.

Like everyone else was telling you, you shouldn't feel stupid for feeling sympathy like that for a fictional character. That's probably what the writers want us to do. You should have seen me when I saw some of the CSI episodes, where one of them from the NY series involved a girl at a prep school that was killed, and a rather unpopular girl turned out to be the culprit since she thought she was losing what seemed to be her only friend to the allure of someone who's more popular. She may not have dealt with the problem in a positive fashion, but you've got to have some sort of sympathy, especially if you can relate to her somehow.

You may nor may not put much stock into episode descriptions, but some of them for "The Pulverizer" state that Timothy is a teenager.

I was thinking it would have been helpful if Donatello explained why Dogpound and Fishface got to be the way they are. Then again, Timothy knew that he'd be mutated, but I wonder what the hell he thought he'd become.

This episode was obviously made to teach a lesson, but dang, what a way to get a point across.

Yeah, they're jerks until they get a firm swift kick in the ass to help them see the light. If he can ever get changed back, I hope Timothy does learn from that mistake.
