The possibilities are endless. They go with a multiverse storyline, they easily bring back OT creatures with out having to provide a backstory or recreating into new characters like this thing with Kraang Prime and Krang.

Maybe but very unlikely in my eyes. If the show was going by more the 2003 cartoon and not the 80's one. I would even believe this could happen but no.

It is possible that anyone could be from an alternate universe given what can happen. Just enjoy the series, and as plot twists happen, enjoy the ride and then figure it out after what has occurred. But to be more realistic, April does attend Roosevelt High School and unless if April was some freak creature who really knew how to disguise herself to all earthlings, I would be stunned to find out.
