I know, that's what threw me off in the first place, but I just assumed that since the eye injury wasn't a result of the mutation itself, it wasn't healed as a result of the mutation, either.

Best issue of the micros so far!
Artwork was incredible and Hob went from a background character to my favorite villain all because of this issue.
Again IDW knocks it out of the park with the best TMNT series ever!!!

I'm slightly confused about this issue.. I don't know if I'm just glazing over something or what.. But after Baxter shoots him he says "When I caught the rat.. Well I was all alone in that lab. A kid in a candy shop."..

When did he catch Splinter? Is he revealing right then and there that he caught Splinter and brought him back to the lab? Because I didn't see that anywhere throughout the issue. Maybe I missed it but I don't see it..
