Yeah, Hun in his 4kids design always had this hunchback look to him, because of his mountains of muscle. Here he doesn't have that look.

This Hun's design seems more likely than not to have been based on Geese Howard, especially given the back tattoo. I would say that this will make for easy action figure customization, but that tattoo isn't going to be easy to replicate.

Because he's looked like his present day self for at least fifteen years (as seen in the flashback to the death of Hamato Yoshi), which isn't possible if he's thirty.

He was an adult when they killed Yoshi, which was a little more than fifteen years before the story started. Plus the mirage version looks about forty five.

What's the average lifespan of a rat? In the cartoon, couldn't Hun have technically been born before Splinter? Or right around the same time?

2-5 years, and usually on the lower end. That's one of the things about keeping rats as pets - individually, they just don't live very long.

So technically, Hun was born before Splinter was. I see him being in the 35 to 45 age range by the time the turtles mutated and were fighting him in the 2003 series. He's really old in Same As It Never Was.

Well, don't forget: it's clear that Splinter was genetically enhanced even before the actual mutation. Who knows how this might have affected his growth and aging?

But yeah, even then, it's very unlikely for Hun to have been born anywhere chronologically close to Splinter.

Yeah, Hun was at least 35 at the start of season 1. Probably a little older.

Splinter was at least 11 years old at the time of his mutation, so Hun is plenty older.

yeah that's it. i just got my wires crossed between the city fall hun and the micro hun. that's odd that it's old news. he just posted it on DA minutes before i commented on it here.
