There's a couple other funny things of note here too, check out the sidebar on the right: "Hot Shingles in Your Area (expert roofers!)," "E-Z Foot Loss" and "Give Me That Slice! (I see you eating that pizza / Hook a brother up). Willie Nelson the reoccurring truck driver is pictured up there too.

(I don't know what "Mouse Trek" refers to... Google search shows a rough-looking Bakshi film, but if that's the reference I don't get it.)
WOW! That's quite a find!!

I didn't notice the numbers on the back, but that's an interesting find. I'm not sure if it means anything either, but if it totals up the number of episodes, that's pretty cool way of tabulating it.

Upon watching "Turtle Temper" a second time, I caught what sounds like a nod to Du Prez's score from the original movie while Leo, Don and Mike are infiltrating the warehouse.

Perhaps not a true Easter Egg, but as a fan of the original movie, which I have seen numerous time (as you all have also) I thought it was neat to hear, what sounds like a portion of one of the score tracks during the BGM.

Sounds like the song that plays when the Turtles return home from the farm. I know it's used more often than that but that's the most clear example I can think of from the source.

Seeing as how the music in Turtle Temper always stood out to me, I'm surprised I never made that connection - it really does sound similar. Thanks for mentioning it!

Yeah, I already had noticed that before, and it sounds awesome to hear something like that as a nod to the first movie.

Mouse trek wars, most likely refers to the whole Disney bought star wars thing and the trek is from J.J. Abrams rumored for directing it. That or it's a load of hog wash

Oh yeah, good call! Didn't think about that.

Here's another possible one - in the finale Splinter's staff broke, revealing a hidden sword inside. I was watching with a friend and he pointed out that the OT Splinter Playmates toy did the same thing - a small sword would pull out of his staff. I don't remember if it was that way in the actual 'toon, but I don't think it was. I just remember him fighting with the stick.

It did? I never noticed that, but that could be a nod to the figure itself, too. Awesome find, Sweaty.

Yup! I double checked. I still have most of the old line myself. It could be coincidence, but I'm willing to bet most of the dudes working on the show probably had some of those old figures growing up.

Just noticed that Dogpound did it in "Mousers Attack!", although he was holding Dexter Stockton when he did so.

ETA: Just caught the 2001 reference in "It Came From the Depths," lol.

I am just watching The Search for Splinter Part 1 from the 2003 series and I have noticed that Donnie holds a pigeon against a security camera of the TCRI building. Exactly the same happens in Booyakasha Showdown Part 1 of the 2012 series.

Yeah...it's from the comics, too.

Ah, I don't recognise it from there. I only noticed because Booyakasha Showdown was fresh in my mind whilst watching The Search For Splinter.

God I was cracking up when Dogpound shouted OH YEAH while bursting through a brick wall.

I seriously underestimated this show. Glad I'm finally getting into it. Now I'm hooked.

And this isn't really an easter egg, but I like how Sab Shimono was the voice for Mr. Murakami; the same actor who played Lord Norinaga from the third movie. And c'mon, Jeffrey Combs as Rat King and Lewis Black as Spider Bytez????? THIS SHOW IS AMAZING.

I'm curious how the production team is going to handle introducing the original 1989 turtles into the story; better yet, how will they handle the fact that Donnie will sound exactly like Raph?

At the end of one episode, April's phone is dropped right when her phone rings. Guess who's calling? Irma.
