Interesting that The Kraang have been after Earth for thousands of years. That could open up origin stories certain mythical/legendary creatures (in a cooler way than the 07 movie did).

The cat/rat dynamic between Tigerclaw and Splinter is something I didn't think about, and pretty much rules out Old Hob ever showing up. Not that he was ever gonna.

Other than that... nothing big. Oh well. Excited for tomorrow

I was never a fan of Old Hob (or anything that IDW does) so I'm glad Tiger Claw will be taking the feline role.

Well at least they're testing the waters with it. Maybe in Season 3 we'd get a crossover episode.

Tell me about it on one hand you got tiger claw, diminsion X, Karai taking over, mutagen man, and casey jones. But you got pizza face, ick, kirby bat, and craploads of filler mutants. Well... I could see how it could be interpreted either way (a brief minute or two of the OT Turtles versus a more involved story plot with the OT Turtles), but one would think with so much hype with the OT voice actors returning (many videos and pictures of the event), that the latter would be occurring, especially if it was part an "hour long" special. What an underwhelming development...

I was very intrigued to see how the Nick writers would have pulled off the latter, and still make it effective without seeming like a forced nostalgia trip as the article seemingly implied.

As ToTheNines said, I would have preferred for it to be a unannounced momentary cameo, rather than Nick and the press reporting about it all.

...And a Pizza Face? Huh?

Why is there a trend that a lot of things/people/animals the Nick Turtles get close to, gets mutated? Timothy (Mutagen Man; Donatello's responsibility), Donatello's cockroach, Kirby (April's Dad, based on speculation I read here), Slash (Raphael's pet Turtle), and now Pizza Face (the Turtles favorite food). Can someone tell me...please...

sorry, that was an error on my part..

the TMNT official fb page made a post saying: "NYCC EXCLUSIVE: Take a sneak peek at our concept design for New York Comic Con this weekend. Wondering what's going to be in those ooze canisters? Check back on Thursday to find out!"
and they posted a concept pic of the booth..

So when I read that NYCC exclusive part and the ooze canisters, i thought there would be an exclusive figure. a lot of people who replied in the comments thought that as well..

turns out, its just some vintage figures on display, that they are giving away in some contest..

I was there it was AWESOME! Cipes showed up riding a skateboard on stage and danced on the table to the new theme! They had Hoon read chicken cooking instructions in Splinters voice! Rob said 80s Raph and nick Donnie have a conversation. I dont have much time right now to post cause I am working at the con. I will do what I can maybe Sunday night on the bus home.

It sounds like the episode is still an hour but only features a cameo from the OT Turtles. Sounds like the episode features dimension hopping and the OT is one of those dimensions.

Sounds like this will be an interesting season. I think it would be cool if Pizza Face was the pizza delivery boy we see and he turns into it by touching pizza, but we'll see. Hey, at least Don and OT Raph will talk to each other, but I'm also disappointed if this is just a brief cameo of the OT Turtles. Once again, we'll just have to wait and see. I'm excited about Tiger Claw vs. Splinter though. Definitely sounds like a good fight.
