The issue they're talking about was already adapted in the 4kids cartoon and first movie. Shredder Strikes Back where Leonardo nearly gets killed by the Foot and the Shredder burns down April's antique shop and they flee to Northampton, they did the same thing in the movie only with Raph.

They will definitely make something new and different, but based on the original material.

Like in Showdown, Raph used a pigeon to trick a recording camera. In 2k3, Don used a puppet pigeon which was a reference to the Mirage comic of the same setting/character.

So it's a reference of a reference.

They'll probably adapt it in their own way and probably do it based on the source material, also kind of how The Gauntlet Shredder fight leaned heavily on Mirage number 1 for the fight scenes and the like.

Can't wait to see how Nieli adapts the story. It'll give the show a chance to be mature and quiet for a change. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy humor in the episodes (that is when it's not done excessively) but it's time for the show to cut back on some of the humorous content a bit.

I wonder if that means they'll be introducing April's antique shop soon? Seems weird they haven't shown it so far if they're adapting that storyline.

Well we've sort of seen the Antique shop. Remember April's apartment resides over a shop called "Second Time About". So maybe April's Aunt runs the place.

I know we've seen the shop in the background, but I'm pretty sure it's not established to be the same building as April's apartment.

Wow! What's the deal with folks in the UK having to wait so long? I swear I'll never complain about getting an episode one week then having to wait two weeks for a new one again.

According to a Canadian on a different TMNT forum, you're getting the season premiere on Nov. 2. So, you don't have that long to wait.
