TMNT Season 2 Official Info Thread

Is this the first episode to actually have one of the Turtles' names in the title? Other than Karai and Xever, I'm not sure any other character got their name in the episode title.

So after seeing that "Mikey Gets Shellacne" clip, it was funny, but... Let me get this straight, Mikey puts the mutagen on his skin. And his reason? He put the mutagen on his skin to be better and cooler. Gee... where did we get that reasoning from? Uh, Timothy! ("The Pulverizer Returns!")

"You guys treat me like a big goof ball all the time!" Uh, yeah! I guess in Nick Mikey's case, monkey see, monkey do. EVEN if it looks painful and "nasty" (in his own words in seeing mutated Timothy) with Timothy's Mutation and the other many mutants he's witnessed being transformed. If Mikey didn't see Timothy's mutation, I could have let this incident slide, but really? Does Mikey have the capacity to learn from what he sees? Of course we don't know the full plot yet, but the show could have created an accident of sorts (Mikey skateborading in the lair) rather than seemingly create a plot around Mikey's stupidity.

In terms of Mikey's intelligence, it seems like its one step forward ("Parastica"), two steps back ("The Mutation Situation"), one step forward ("Invasion of the Squirrelanoids"), two steps back ("Mikey Gets Shellacne"). I don't know, I think I'm just going to declare in saying that Nick Mikey has some form of cognitive impairment or dementia with brief moments of lucidity.

first of all, Mikey never had an episode where he learned to think before he acts, this is the first one. He's only had like 3 episodes to himself the first season because, Donnie and Leo were hogging all the screen time!

second as I said before and this is just my own theory.

Mikey was probably tired of the guys calling him a doofus and so on
and decided to try to make himself better. Think about it! he resorted to using mutagen to make himself cooler so his bros would stop thinking he's a bone head! Yea, you can say some of it is Mikey's own fault cause he is a goofball and doesn't pay attention, but come on! the others don't give him the time of day even when he is telling the truth or is seriously right about something!! They don't even try! they always assume he's going to do something stupid and we know that's always the case!

Mikey has helped waaaay more than he's gotten in the way, He's saved their lives a few times and has shown to get serious when it is needed, and even demonstrated his creativity.

I don't believe Mikey would just smother mutagen on himself for HIMSELF, he's most likely doing this so his brothers would like him more. At least Mikey notices that he's goofball. (also it wasn't like it was normal mutagen it was altered mutagen by Donnie....still not recommended to touch though!)

yes....I KNOW this Mikey isn't the brightest crayon in the box, but theres other things that make up for it. He's a great ninja, he's compassionate to people you wouldn't expect need it, he's positive, and he tries his best.


.........what I'm saying is.....let's not get on the Mikey hate train okay? let's just see how this episode goes....and see if he learns from his mistakes. though I can't make you like Mikey.....so yea....

I'll hold out on this statement until I see who wrote this episode, cause this sounds like an episode from the guy that wrote "Mutation Situation".

Have you thought that it might be the writers? Some of the writers have wrote Mikey like the Mikey we know, while others have wrote just him like he's an idiot and that he's 100% stupid.

I get what you're saying...but Mikey has seen the horrible things that mutagen can do to some people, like Timothy. I think we can all agree that no matter WHY he did it, it was still a very stupid thing to do.

Yeah, it makes more sense for Casey to be the one Karai is putting in jeopardy since this season is meant to be pushing him more as a major character. Not sure if it'd have the same effect if it was Irma, who has little-to-no relevance besides that one cameo with her calling April's phone compared to Casey debuting just three episodes ago.

I can totally see Karai teasing April about her "boyfriend" already.
