Of course children are following that. All that is is the bad guys are ticked off at the good guys because of something. What exactly that something is isn't difficult to remember for children, that's if they even follow the show week to week. All I'm sayying is that so long as it stays the good guys vs the bad guys then the details don't matter. But going down roads the show doesn't do like getting lots of people involved like the whole police force just wouldn't keep things in the world that has been created and therefore make things too complicated. Sure there were cops in this episode but what happened with them was all that we'll see of them. The fact that older viewers can read so much into the episodes is great, it really makes the turtles all that more enjoyable.

Mostly enjoyed the episode with my daughter. Kind of disturbing -- in a good, out of the box way -- that Donatello is basically responsible for this teenage human turned horrific monster. Disturbing moreso that even as "dumb" as he was pre-mutation, he barely even can string together a coherent thought now.

Okay.. -------- Anyway just wanna point it out. It's not a love triangle this season, it's love rectangle. FOUR PEOPLE. Mutagen Man wants April too! Suddenly everyone wants a piece of that hot April. "Oh no, who should I choose? Donnie? Casey? Mutagen Man? This is harder than anything Bella ever faced. Oh boys do stop fighting over me." |

Yes, but Tim doesn't want her as a love interest and more as a friend. The kid probably never had any friends in his life and his way of thinking is that April would make a good friend for him.

The Pulverizer has more then likely seen April while she had been staying at the lair. And in his current state he has had a front row seat to seeing Donnie and April conversing. Watched Donnie flirt with April. And probably listened to Donnie talking about how wonderful a person April is when she's out of the lair or asleep. And of course later hearing from Donnie that April doesn't want to see him again after what happened to her father.
In truth it almost feels like Donnie felt like he was getting the same thing Raph gets out of Spike. In the fact he has someone who he talk to that wouldn't criticize, judge, or tease him about his feelings towards April. But to the Pulverizer it feels like Donnie gets the best in everything. He get's an awesome mutation, a cute girl who is a the source of his affections, and what not. While he himself has essentially become a mutant jello mold who is forced to stay alone in the lab for hours on end. So maybe when he hears Donnie complaining about how April doesn't want to see him any more, in his mind he thinks...The Turtles hurt this girl because she trusted them, and I also got hurt because I trusted them. So if she doesn't want Donnie as a friend anymore, maybe she'll be my friend! |

Yes, that makes sense, and also because he probably never had any friends as a human because of his obsession with wanting to be a hero.

The series finale should be called "There's something about April" where every character in the show try's to end up with April

Overall Rating
5-Epic Awesomeness 4-Good Story 3-Wouldn’t kick it out of bed for eating beans, but wouldn’t recommend it to a new comer. 2-If you never see it, you’re not missing anything. 1-I’ve seen bad fan-fictions that were better than this. Another good episode! This season hasn't had any moments of "epic awesomeness" just yet, but it's still early in the season so that may change. It was good to see April finally after being away from the Turtles for a couple of episodes. What I found most interesting with her story at this time is that she wants to try to return her life to one of normalcy, considering that she is the key to an alien invasion. I also found her irritation at seeing the Turtles so close to her house was rather understandable since she knows that she can't avoid them entirely. Casey's appearance in this episode was interesting. He does come across as a self-important dooshbag at first with comments such as "...they are intimidated by my supreme awesomeness." And saying that he wanted to be either a professional hockey player or a bounty hunter as a career choice. Hopefully he will improve as his character continues to develop in the series. I've seen lots of talk about how Donnie was becoming a stalker where April was concerned. Heck, Mikey even points that out when he sarcastically says "Like that's not creeptastic!" I still found Donnie's actions somewhat understandable since he would at least be interested in seeing how April is doing. And one of the most endearing qualities about his character is how much he cares about her. Still there are definite signs that April's absence is causing a lapse in judgment on Donnie's part. One such example is the moment where he is considering the possibility of appearing to April even though she had specifically stated that she did not want to see any of them ever again. It's also seems that Donnie is also suffering from depression brought on by April leaving them and that's taking it's toll on the brainy turtle as well. Such as the moments he is shown ranting to Timothy. When Donnie admits to his brothers that he had been talking to Timothy, Raph asks "You pour out your thoughts and feelings to a bunch of guts in a jar?!" This in itself is ironic seeing as Raph complains about his brothers to his pet turtle, Spike. However it's Donnie's response of "He's a good listener." that raised some red flags in my mind. In mutation situation Donnie's heart was clearly broken, and there was no follow up on how things are with him aside from Raph in n "Follow the Leader" when he tells him not to get so upset over April because she'll come back eventually This makes me wonder what sort of support Donnie is getting in this point in time, and from the sound of things he's not getting any brotherly support what so ever. This is probably chocked up living life an only child, but I find it appalling that the other Turtles aren't even noticing or acknowledging how much Donnie is suffering at this time. If I had a sibling in a similar situation, I would have checked in on them from time to time to see how they were doing. It's plausible that the others don't know how help to Donnie in this current situation so they chose to ignore it and hope it resolves itself on its own. Leo in particular would know from experience what a broken heart feels like, or at least something close to it. Since he lost any trust Karai may have for him in "Enemy of My Enemy". But Donnie at least had tried to comfort him following that. So the possibility that he is not receiving the same respect may have it's own backlash later on. And to add to it, Donnie had to end up hurting and betraying someone who had trusted him. As Leo pointed out, whoever Timothy had been wasn't there anymore. Which is true, everything that the Pulverizer had been had ceased to be in his feral minded state. But that didn't make it an easy task for Donnie to undertake and I am afraid there could be a possibility that he may have to resort to having to destroy the Pulverizer in the end. Some of my readers may remember that in my review of "Metalhead" (or you've heard the 3rd episode of "Heroes in a Half Cast") that I pointed out that it felt as though Donnie is struggling with the side of himself that may be pacifistic. In "Pulverizer Returns" I was left with an impression that something had shifted or slipped in Donnie, and in this ep it felt like something had definitely cracked. The way Leo and Raph react when Donnie takes no pleasure in his defeating Mutagen Man suggests they also are noticing that this has hurt their brother in some way, but they aren't sure as to why. It's possible that this experience with Mutagen Man may help bring Donnie's pacifism to the forefront and enable him to accept that as part of himself. Average episode, I don't like the April doesn't want to be around the turtles arc, it's being played out too slow, mutagen man coming out was alright but I don't know nothing rally grabbed me a lot. Overall I'm not liking the show a lot, this season isn't as good as the first and the first wasn't that great either.
