Agree with PK here. It's not sexist at all. He's just admitting that his weakness is writing girl characters and he doesn't want to make them too powerful. As a fan fic writer, I can relate to this in that when trying to create an OC, you don't want to fall into the trap of making them a Mary Sue/Gary Stu type character. So, I get what he's saying on that point.

I agree with you completely.
This incarnation is easily my favorite. The original's a classic, and the 2000 series brought the darker and serious turtles turtles to mainstream audiences, but... this one is the perfect mix for me. Dark when it needs to be, over the top goofy when it can be - it just keeps hitting the perfect notes and makes me remember why I became a fan of the franchise in the first place.
