It's the same discs from the individual "volumes" that made up Season 3, just with new disc art and in one case...so yes...yes it does.

What did you possibly have to gain by purchasing the episodes again and now having two sets of the exact same dvds???

Not much...unless you can sell off the individual volumes.

My originals were in poor condition, and having multiple cases takes up space. So this was a great way to both replace my goods and make more room.

It's exactly the same as those original volume discs. Everything's the same, including the menus. The quality's better than VHS, that's for sure. Though some episodes seem to be sourced from VHS, though you can hardly tell.

I plan to buy this eventually. (I might use my Ebay Bucks to get it). I like the box art better and the fact that it's all in one volume. Plus I don't already own season 3 in any form, only seasons 1 and 2.

I bought the new Season 3 for $10 and I sold the previous 4 Season 3 releases for around $10.

So basically I didn't lose any money and I got a better set that reduces space on my shelf.

That's what I'm talkin bout. I could use more shelf space as well. I'm seriously considering doing the instant video thing with the OT since all my 2012 eps are stored there anyway. At first I didn't think they had Planet of the Turtleoids or the Easter eps but good to know they just crammed those in seasons 5 and 6. The price per season on amazon iv looks reasonable enough. $9.99 for season 3, $18.99 for season 4 which contains about 40 episodes, etc. Doubt I'll take advantage of this any time soon since I own all the eps on DVD but it's something I'll be mulling over.
