@Dawnatello Turtle Chick....what a cute little "ninja in training" you have there!! My 4 year old is really into the turtles now but my 16 month old runs around saying "turtle" and steals my other son's toys all the time! It's awesome seeing little guys like this w/ their TMNT toys!!

My TRU finally re stocked, and I found Kirby Bat and Squirrelanoid. They're really awesome figures! Once I saw the aisle re stocked I was like

(complete with people backing away)

Then when I saw the new figures on the pegs

Mutagen Man:
He seriously suffers budget cuts and looks like Parallax's speshul lil brother who wears trash can armor. First release mutagen ooze is too thick and makes it hard to see the organs. I may experiment with other toy slimes. He also has a fap hand that can shower ooze. I wish his slime limbs could come off so you can display him as just a tank like on the show. The detail on the guts is kinda lame, they should have painted the eyes at least. I like a bit more than the show model just because it doesn't include creepy lips.

Casey Jones:
He has decent near-turtle grade articulation, but he has no swivels at the elbow. He can rotate at the waist at least.

There is a lack of painted detail everywhere including them not painting the shoulder strap. His left arm is also made of really soft plastic which has me a little worried it might break (unless a different factory made one with harder plastic...).

Our son will be 3 in April. He has been obsessed since before Season 2 started. I like to pose my figures in poses for pictures or in a case/on a bookshelf, etc. So he likes to "pose" his which always results in the same pose- a dog pile. He started off with my favorite turtle growing up- Donatello, then we got him Leo (Daddy's favorite) and he got the other 2 plus a foot soldier for Christmas. He amazes me how much he plays with them.

We play with the role play turtle stuff sometimes too. He's got the Donatello mask/bo & shell, I recently bought the Shredder mask to display on my wall, but we play Shredder vs Donatello a lot. It usually goes- Shredder kidnaps the sock monkey, then Don kicks Shredder in the shin, Shredder reminds Don not to Hiya in the house, then Don rescues sock monkey and makes Shredder hug the sock monkey and give him a kiss, thereby converting Shredder from evil to good. Don't know why the real turtles don't think to try that?!

i've got the anchovy alley, the 4 turtles shredder krang and a foot soldier along with mousers when my 1 and a half year nephew came round he just went 'WOW' and literally sat and looked for 30 minutes

good times and a victory for cool uncle Ben!

I'm really not a fan of Casey's paint style. Enough of the skull paint - it would be better if it was either/or in terms of face and mask.
Hopefully they may make a repaint.
Having said that, as soon as its over here in the UK i'll probably get him -

His guts are pink as they should be...? Wow. Surprised to see that. Just need to add some pupils to the eyes.

So that means the plastic you see it thru is the mutagen blue-green color?

Someone needs to make an attempt at making the see-thru part in a clear color maybe if possible and see if that makes things better.

That's awesome! My 4 1/2 year old loves turtles but I think the 17 month old luvs 'em more. The little guy is going to be a TMNT fan for sure (as well as a Batman nut). We have tons of Imaginext Batman stuff and he plays w/ them for hours! I wish they would do a similar line for TMNT (aimed more at little guys)!! That would be cool.

@Rukitron... thx for the review!! Man, vintage Mutagen Man puts the new one to shame!!!

Mutagen Man's plastic looks kinda glowy with the orange shading. The jar glass is indeed mutagen color, but I kinda like some ooze sloshing in there. Marvel Hero Goo ($4) is apparently also too dark to use.

And yeah original Mutagen Man is way cooler. I'm trying to get a friend to touch mine up, so no ooze for him.

Yeah...that actually might make him redeemable... I just need to add pupils with a Sharpie.
(BTW, has anyone tried using sharpies for BS turtle pupils?)
