I don't know what to think about this episode, but I don't like it. I thought it was...creepy? Maybe? April's almost lobotomy was uncomfortable to watch. And April derp was gross. And April herself was annoying. And April's origin revelation was...meh. Anticlimactic.

I always found Foot episodes more interesting than the Kraang ones and this episode proves why. While the Foot have so many aspects of their story to explore (Shredder in Japan, Dogpound now Rahzar, new robotic foot, Karai not knowing her origin) the Kraang are still just trying to mutate the earth. Nothing has changed and as a result all of the episodes are formulaic. It's always find out Kraang's secret plan, find their hideout, fight the Kraang, fight some silent and large mutant, and then barely escape. The Kraang Conspiracy is the Alien Agenda and Operation: Breakout, minus Karai and Kirby.

Few other things:

I don't trust Kurtzman. And his business card was super weird.
Did the Kraang guns ever hit anyone? Like seriously. Kraang have crappy aim.
So how did TCRI magically rebuild itself in the course of a few episodes?
I still wish Kraang prime was female.
Mikey's tofu comment totally reminded me of Beast Boy.
I used to love Donnie's crush on April season 1. I thought it was adorable and added dimension to his character. Now I think I'm over it.
Why did the Kraang find the need to change April's headband?
So...no mention of Kirby bat? In an episode completely devoted to April?

Not a horrible episode. I think this is my least favorite of the season, though.

Not a horrible episode. I think this is my least favorite of the season, though.

yea I'm gonna have to agree, the foot episodes are my favorite of the 2.

they have Rahzar, Fishface, Baxtar (now) Shredder, and Karai. (all developed characters)

the Kraang have....the kraang...and Kraang prime....

I just like the villains more when they have personality.

This episode seems much more strange, I like Kurtzman and his research on the kraang. April's origin was nicely done and I thought that Kirby looked goofy in a good way with his afro

The clone April scene was a bit disturbing, what with the turning into goo. This episode as I said feels strange, like a science fiction noir (if there is such a thing) or a proper Matrix-ex movie. Overall good episode.

I thought that this episode was decent, but I would rate it only a little better than the Squirrelanoids. After such a buildup of April being so special, I had hoped there would be a better reason. There was also way too much plot armor in this episode. If there were that many clones of April, why didn't they put up a much better fight? They just kept saying "I'm the real April!" That is all the Kraang can do? The threat level of the Kraang seems to be nearing the 80s version and that is something else that doesn't need to happen.

They can't even shoot an old man so they definitely can't shoot a ninja. Does anyone even expect any of the characters to be shot? There must be a rule somewhere that when there are multiple shots in a cartoon, nothing other than an inanimate object can be hit. I didn't even feel worried when April was kidnapped. On the final episodes of Season 1, it seemed epic and April seemed like she was in true danger. On this episode, is just felt like a routine story just because they wanted it. And now April can brain blast? On a show that is supposed to be full of mutants, I want to see more normal human main characters. I hope that Kurtzman doesn't get mutated too.

I just got back from seeing the lego movie (awesome btw) and I hadn't noticed this thread before.

I thought the episode was alright. Derp was clearly the main attraction and creepy. Next week looks better.

I've really been enjoying season 2 so far but i just didn't like this episode i couldn't get into it ,so far the weakest episode I have seen in my opinion. However it wasn't all bad I did enjoy Kurtzman I can't wait to see more of him

oh and we saw Kraang Prime again

Favorite episode of the season so far. I like April being part alien, though I wish it wasn't part Krang but since they haven't introduced any aliens other then the Krang then I can understand. I don't know why the turtles said that April is a mutant since all mutants in this series have been effected by mutagen.

I can see the April reveal anti-climatic and the Kraang plots being repetitive, but the action was spot on and the humor was there. I'd call this a middle of the road episode: not the best but also not the worst.

Yes but mutant in the X-men series is not the same definition of mutant in the TMNT series.

I hope Kurtzmen turns out to be something unusual as well such as a good krang, Neutrino, mutant(later), etc.

Which brings up the question, if April's part human/part Kraang, where did the Kraang part come from?

Yeah the Donnie April crush is getting old. But I don't think it's going anywhere, so I'm not going to complain. I'm just glad April is interacting with the other turtles, and was so glad raph went to rescue her. If Donnie had to throw in a "I was going to do that" I don't mind, at this point it would be out of character if he didn't. And Aprils comment to raph, I at first was upset about "oh great rescued by raph" but she continued "I'll never live this down" and I understood it was just her not wanting to be rescued and with Raphael personality and telling her she's not ready, he would give her the most crap about it.
